These may be the worst series to compare as wholes. Simpsons, Futurama, and Family Guy all became worse as time went on and South Park's very concept changed drastically. I guess if I had to..

Over the Course of Their Entire Runs So Far:
South Park >> Futurama >>> Family Guy > Simpsons

South Park has always been funny depending on your tastes, but in vastly different ways. I think it's much better now than it used to be.
The one or two episodes I've seen of Futurama's newest run have been good, but not as good as the originals. The movies were pretty bad.
I think everyone will agree Family Guy's not the show it used to be, and now the good episodes are hopelessly outnumbered by bad ones.
The Simpsons hasn't fallen nearly as fall as Family Guy has, but it's been going on as a shell of its former self for much longer, so it gets last.

At Their Peak:
Family Guy > Simpsons > South Park > Futurama

These were all hilarious at one point or another. Just at least two of them aren't anymore.

The gaps in between these shows are huge for me, too. I love South Park, I think Futurama is pretty funny, I've never been able to get into the Simpsons much, and I can't stomach Family Guy at all.

Either that or swap Simpsons and Futurama. Futurama really needs more Zapp Brannigan (I haven't watched the new season/s)

All these shows are on the massive decline except for South park (which has seen its better days). There was a time where Simpsons was greater than Futurama, but if Futurama continues at the rate its going then Simpsons might overtake it again. Family Guy was funny until all the characters got old (and that didn't take too long).
