hey, 3 episodes in and lelouch finally shows me something likeable. high school archetypes and fanservice is ughhhh, BUT at least lelouch has done something of note. a small thing of note, but it's there!

also, more clarification/major boundaries on the powers... i like. the two chicks on whom he's already used the power (commander girl and the one who doesn't like wearing clothes) are going to be very important upcoming.

it's pretty bad but it's very watchable

watched episode 4

is this one of those shows that's supposed to be funny/good ironically, like tengen toppa gurren lagann? having been given zero reason so far to like lelouch, it's kinda hard to watch a show that's built off his back (and his godawful friend suzaku's)

wish it were a little more like death note, where light's 'motives' and 'ingenuity' could be at least a little more appreciated

plot-wise, it does some setup that, if poor in execution, still leaves some potential. lelouch has now used his one-shot against the new general guy; our counter goes up by one (and it's a significant character). our friend suzaku has been set up as the GREAT RIVAL. so there's a promising framework at least...

Lelouch the best. Suzaku is pretty damn terrible though.

The beginning is ok, gets better around episode 9 and up. Then part 2 comes and it has its up and downs but is still very enjoyable.

first half of episode 5... liking that some chick is picking up on it, liking that there will be a new enemy

CC/princess going to be awful though

finished episode 5. empire side seems considerably better in the character design dept at the moment. suzaku's white knight schtick beats lelouch's irritating arrogance, and the battle with jeremiah was pretty good

new royalty and CC are weak, but eh

wish we had a more convincing villain. the pure evil empire takes all the intrigue out of conflict

maybe it's outside factors, but ep 8 showed some promise, for realz. overdone andway too heavyhanded/theatrical but enjoyable and was the first episode that did not cause me to lose braincells by smashing my forehead against a hard object.

just finished ep 9. another episode where i didn't smash my face too hard with anything which is a good thing. nice that they at least try to give karen some attempt at character development. that's not to say it was effective, but i appreciate the effort. mainly it was an inoffensive way to pass an episode. let's keep going.

yeah i can see that. nonetheless being an OPTIMIST i can find some enjoyment in watching a show!

ep10 also boring, but provided some plot development and setup for cornelia's capture. really wish i cared enough about the conflict to root one way or the other, but... nope. oh well!

finished episode 11. all action, which left little room for the characters to suck. guess i can list that as a positive.

and to whomever mentioned that lelouch has an awesome voice - yeah, but the guy's supposed to be 16 or 17 years old. make him a 24-year-old (or even a guy who's graduating, like light) and i buy it more.

'oh well'

looks like cornelia's in it for at least another several episodes. she has the typical 'i hate you lelouch!!!' attitude and some competence which lends her an edge.
