From: dragon22391 | #048 How the hell is aghanimty more durable than granber - unless you mean the human, but I would assume the mech affords him some protection. Unless you mean it destroys him More because it's a mech
Buy it doesn't do extra damage against mechs/ships, it just outdamages their health (makin it massive overkill on Terran units and stuff)
I meant the human yeah.
Also I'd consider that more gameplay balance than anything.
You could spin it the other way too and argue because Psi-Storm is unaffected by armor that it goes straight through the armor.
I dunno though maybe it is just like force lightning. In that case it doesn't kill Grabner. Anyone read the starcraft books or anything lol

I always thought of just a giant electrical storm. Shorts out a bunch of ship systems and does crazy damage on the processes of the machines, while it also superheats, boils, and explodes things liek the zerg and humans. Shields absorb most of it but eventually break.
I don't see it hitting absolutely everything. Maybe 33% to 75% of the place. Tick Tock Clock's narrow, but not Spekkio or Dojo cramped. There's a good deal of horizontal space, at least fifty Cronos wide in diameter, probably much more. I'd venture that Psionic Storm's 15-30 Cronos wide, with a very high vertical axis. Of course that's just the center and there could always be some fluctuating lightning bolts that strike out further.
Why is anybody arguing people not dying in one hit to psistorm
That thing is insane. Your brain melts, full stop. Unless you have credible mind guards you die. Strong will doesn't help when your brain is deepfried directly, circumventing mental duels. Psistorm is simply a massive shockwave of psychic energy and not an insiduous attack.

In all seriousness, it's not like the electric cloud can't be dodged. Hell, walking your troops out of it is the best way to keep them from getting killed by it in Starcraft

Yet there's little reason for Cielo to do that. He has no clue of Kerrigan's psionic capabilities, making that in most fights a waste of time and magic.

Also, DC, there is no "walkin out of it" in tick tock clock - it most definitely covers the horizontal size of the place, Vertical who knows but they'll be a bit hurting to climb during the middle of it, and just jumping off seems like a decidedly bad idea.

I'm not saying they'd necessarily walk out of it, just that that's the easiest way to get away from it in Starcraft. And if some garden variety Starcraft troops can avoid it, something like Cielo shouldn't have much trouble

I'm not entirely sure what this spell is, but if all it does is null "mind damage", then yes, in a majority of fights it is an express waste of time, as there are very few psychic warriors in Mercenaries.

Well, even if it doesn't oneshot him, it will certainly do nice damage. That's where the fact that Diablo, Dracula, Kerrigan, and Grabner are all very, very good units, and the other team is fielding three pretty-lol people.
And again I feel it's important to note that Tick Tock Clock takes away Cielo's greatest strength: his speed.

Damage matters little when you can fully heal your team at any point with Salvation. And when you can survive blasts from gods, I can't imagine a one-shot.
BTW, which non-Fortune units would you say are susceptible to Mudoon, the insta-kill Dark spell made more powerful by the twilight?
-- SomeC - sheer explosives since meeting that crazy hobo. BlAcK TuRtLe grabbed the Guru victory, slow but steady.
I think almost all close terrain matches are over in way less than a minute, but your mileage may vary. Even once they reach the pit, though, Grabner in particular should be very adept at picking them off, using lock-on features that things generally use to target -actual- jet planes and such, and Cielo's shown a propensity to die in explosions like the kinds homing missiles would present.
And this is in addition to all the firepower Dracula, Diablo, Kerrigan, and even Fortune will be spittingz

Diablo is a large, heavy monster. Grabner is in a huge, heavy mech. (the average mech in his game seems to weigh about 25 tons!)
Defenders always get a placement advantage over attackers, so dante's team is at the bottom and GANON's is at the top.
So in other words everyone is starting on thin wire mesh. Dante has fielded two bruisers who arguably weigh more than anyone else combined. Then there is Roo who could also shove someone over the edge, perhaps kerrigan or fortune.
Can anyone even HIT Team Cielo when they're falling to their deaths? Probably not.
Then there's the possibility that every on dante's team just falls and dies because they'll have no footing to stand on thanks to their fine teammates albert and diablo.
Okay so here's the problem I am having here. It comes down to this: Who is going to kill Diablo.
...
No one is going to kill Diablo so yes, I'd say that's a slight problem.
I give Roo some respect, I give Fortune none. I don't even give Grabner a lot of respect. I don't even give Dracula a lot of respect.
Diablo/Kerrigan, however, are a clear class above the other two and why I am going to be KOing them when I face this team in two days if I am able.
Agahnim does something, not much Roo will knock Fortune the **** out, so that's something. Gene is going to get diablo's dick up his bunny ass. Athos is great but he is outclassed here if he had the magic of 1000 cielos.
Cielo, the best merc on the field for his team (except maybe Athos I guess) is not even the second best merc on the field. Kerrigan and Diablo simply cannot be killed by the other team before they kill them. Too durable, too much damage, and the backup while I don't have high respect for (Dracula/Grabner) is a lot better than a god damn rabbit and a kangeroo with a weapon.

Behold the majesty that is Doom. Feast upon his greatness, and know you will never measure up. http://img.imgcake.com/Punny/scenemaybecompletepngre.png - Hail
Triple Luna isn't too effective here cause Diablo/Kerrigan/Dracula all have big durability more than defense, and Fortune is immune to magic (and might take a shot from Athos to no effect). He's good against Grabner-- if he goes for him first. Kerrigan's got giant AoEs to EVEN HIT Cielo-- also to hit all three Athosi. Dracula does too, actually, with Meggido.
At best Roo's going to kill one guy by knocking them into the void and then splat. More likely he gets caught by AoEs on his way in. Agahnim is out of his league. Gene is a bunny and will probably suck at melee now given Link was unable to do anything offensive in bunny form.
So yeah it's 5v3 to start-- and more realistically, 5v2. Athos and Cielo can fly around but the big AoEs and superior durability of the other team will squash them.
Oh and also the "team x is too heavy and falls through the platforms" is a dumb argument.
