Durability matters, yes. Defense doesn't.

Basically in Fire Emblem terms they're like 200 hp units. Meaning Luna's "I always do 25 damage no matter who you are" doesn't matter cause they're just that beefy.

Durability is a weird word. I see it as the combination of defense + HP, so that a guy with low defense and high HP could have the same effective physical durability as a guy with high defense and low HP.

Anyway, why do you see them as having more durability/HP than defense?

As for why that's the case with these ones, it should be pretty obvious

Diablo is a giant demon
Kerrigan is a zerg
Dracula is a vampire and 2/3 of his forms are huge.

Basically it's mostly their race not their gear that's at work there. I mean they no doubt have defense too because of scales or whatnot but they're clearly quite hardy on top of that.

This is kinda how it works in Fire Emblem too. The monster types generally have more hp. Big burly men have more hp.

Diablo is probably even better than Ridley at the whole "big. strong. hard to kill" thing. Let's remember that he crushes other nightmarish, very deadly demons, after being sealed because they could just not defeat him.

Oh, and I don't appreciate trollvotes so I'm countering Mana's vote. Spoilers, Grabner can fly. He can fly for a stupidly long time. Short of Cielo and Hibana he's probably the most mobile character in all of Mercenaries, including Sephiroth's teleport spam.

Team Kerrigan. Undodgeable psychic blast that will LEVEL the field and against which nobody has good defenses, barring one gimmick spell that is unlikely to be cast. Firestorms at will. The Red Lightning Hose. More heatseeker missiles than you can shake a stick at, hundreds upon hundreds IIRC. This is a 3v5, and it does't even matter because I'd take each of those three to dismantle GANON's team pre-Cielo, and any two of those three to win even with him there.

Incidentally, play Front Mission: Gun Hazard. It's a long, decently difficult, satisfying run and gun that has an inordinately detailed and developed storyline. You're missing out if you don't try it.

Hey kan, I have a quick question. I was researching Grabner, and I read that he acted as the presidents bodyguard for a time as they escaped the country. Was this him in his mech, or is he decently capable as a human or did this not happen in the game.
