I think you guys are being kind of rude, not to mention inaccurate.

From: UltimaterializerX | #453 Achromatic posted... I prefer to not play blind just because I don't give anyone credit to be able to read my intentions that good day one.
Well you've gotten a lot easier to read, though obviously still very tough. There are some subtle differences though, which I'm slowly picking up on. You're not really in the Blade/VI class of "holy s*** I cannot read this dude" anymore, maybe 1a to their 1 if that makes sense.
Ulti the last time you were in a game with me I maimed you day one. The past two times in fact, but only one of those goes to that point.

I like knowing what I am Day 1. Though I will admit I was considering it in BSG. Especially when in FF7 I felt way more passive then usual due to the pressure of being Scumblocker.

Even though you say that, plum's not one of the players I'd say is unusually likely to survive to endgame.

...Most of the time I feel he honestly does try to formulate his own opinions. >_>
Granted, some of them aren't the best (Haven't read much of Poker or the Ongoing Sir Charlie Sheen game but from what I have gathered while playing with him he was very persistent in his opinions in just about every single one.) While he takes the opinions of the likes of Chris/Lopen/Drak seriously, doing so is something every player should at least take account of. Because what separates a winning town from a losing town is the ability to communicate with one another and be active. Take everyone's opinion seriously, because even the not very good players can have a good point and nail a scum. Sometimes those better players just say things better then you do, and you go with it because it's a point that you agree with.
At the very least he's passionate about the game, and that's more then I can say about the likes of Kanz and other chronic inactives.

Oh, by all means take the opinions of good players to heart (assuming you think they're town), I wasn't criticising anyone for that. The problem lies in not expanding on and/or not justifying the reason for supporting said opinions. If you're voting for someone "because of what X said" and give no reasoning of your own, then you're never going to learn anything. Not to mention you'll have a hard time being taken seriously. Talking to Frost late in Poker mafia felt like banging my head against a wall, but at least he had the excuse of being SK. I was half wondering if anyone would consider town to be that obtuse and unwilling to listen to reason, but as it turns out he handed town the game that night anyway, so it was all moot.
Part of the reason I did the whole breadcrumb thing for like a year was for my own personal amusement when people would ask me to claim and I could tell them, "I already did, go find it your ****ing self."
I think a large majority of players in B8 Mafia are just lazy and would rather play Mafia based on meta of role existence and follow the cop style play. It's part of the reason why end game towns usually buckle. There are very few players who are willing to actually hunt based on interaction and connection, and those that are are generally killed off early.
of all the people that would actually do a good job as town with a lot of early claims, Chris is probably the only one that I see that pushes for info/volunteers it, and that's typically not a good thing because town Chris is usually a goner.
note that I am terrible with a lot of information early on, so I am biased against it.
