Updated Queue from what I saw. I'd like to get word on the 4 games that are Ready whenever for when is a good time for them to get back up to the front of the queue. They've been getting leaped for almost a year or so at this point (I know Arrested Development was supposed to go at the beginning of the year).

I'm pretty sure they've been skipped because while the games were done, the hosts weren't ready/able. I know that's why AD keeps getting jumped. Neon said "Not ready" when his turn came in Febuary and hasn't been ready since as far as anybody knows <_<

Definitely same for Bellis because I've talked to him about it more than once, and I think Han's the same. Which means Boko's the only mystery there.

Put "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" into the queue, please. It's ready to go, though I don't know if mafia (playing or hosting) is going to be compatible at all with my new job schedule. If it's not, I'll have it removed, but I figure I have 6-8 months to make that decision at this point.

And 80s has certainly taught me a thing or ten about hosting, so game this will be a very different experience in that regard. :P

Violin I would probably be willing to agree with as aggrandizing, mainly because I believe the theme mostly revolved around Mant's personal favorite concertos including ones he was working on himself, and he performed some of them in the flavor (I think). Most of the flavor was written from his personal opinions of what was alignment based on his views of the music (which like most art is vastly dependent on interpretation).

Poker, I really don't think falls in the same category. Poker is pretty general knowledge, especially with the immersion that ESPN gives it. Since it can't really be commented on since it's still running, it's hard to specifically state, but I think more aspects of Poker can be more universally agreed upon for alignment and dispersal. Scare may play Poker, but I doubt that his ability to do so influenced in any way how the game was structured, unlike how Mant's game was created.

Ah. I figured you were originally talking about how Chris' was showing his mafia moments from his game, and making a similar correlation to the other two examples. Didn't realize you were talking about it from a Start/End of Day flavor perspective. I think that more waxes and wanes on the flavor itself.

Violin Mafia still follows the same reasoning though because that is Mant and his performances. Poker, I suppose Scare could be doing commentary like Lon McEachern and Norman Chad do (especially considering that Reg is cohosting and make the perfect Norm to Scare's Lon), but it's probably just more fun to pretend he is actually playing since it allows a better masking of who is knocking out who in the game.

If I may…

Only the godfather and SK were aggrandizing rolewise (the opening and closing flavor… okay, you got me), and really only the SK, as it is a violin concerto that I am currently writing in an attempt to add another work to the highest echelon of the repertoire.

The mafia concertos (that scanned guilty) are considered by the vast majority of violinists to be the four most important violin concertos in the repertoire. It also helps that they are all in D Major (or in the case of the Sibelius, the newest of the four, which is why it was the goon, D minor). The Mendelssohn is considered in some aspects the fifth of these major concertos, but at the same time it is considered a stepping-stone to the rest of the concerto repertoire, which is why I played it way back when I did when I was 12 or so (note, I'm 19 now)--the fact I played it with orchestra and it is the violin concerto I know better than any other in the played repertoire was just a bonus in terms of having it be godfather.

Everything else rolewise just happened to fit into place perfectly with really minimal to no forcing of power whatsoever. If you want you can argue about there being two violin concertos from composers of the Second Viennese School (Schoenberg as the vig and Berg as the doc), but again, they fit into place as their powers.
