The pistol seemed fine until I shot multiple shots. Man, that thing has some kick. Too hard to aim.

Pistol is really a last resort weapon now.

The G-Mal to me IS the FAL from back in the day. First kill was on somebody on the plane with it from the truck.

Buggy, or gameplay design issues?

Even for a beta, I think there are some real problems separate of the questionable design choices. There is major input lag, to the point where it sometimes won't recognize when a button is pressed. Maybe it's just me, but I often have to hit R2 twice to reload. That's annoying. The other issue is probably more netcode stuff, but that you can get hit and die after you've clearly turned a corner is awful. Hate that.

Design-wise, I don't care much for what they've done to the weapons. I guess I'm used to UC2, but aiming is awfully slow - I really notice it when people start rolling. Character movement seems slower, too. There's some crazy recoil to every weapon now, too. I'm sure there's a mod to reduce it, but that goes right back to my own personal issue with weapon mods/loadouts to begin with. It's more COD - and you know how I feel about that!

I like that there's more health, though. I think the could stand to reduce it a little bit, but that's one area that's a big improvement from UC2 today. It's nice that firefights last for than a few shots. They're on the right track with that one.

I haven't bothered to play with Boosters / Power Plays yet, so I can't say there. I'll keep playing to see if it can hook me, but this is something I can see myself passing on. I won't rain on the parade, though! If you guys are liking it, that's good stuff!

Yeah, the last 3 hours I played were flawless no problems.

My biggest problems:
1. The pistol sucks... why would they do this?
2. You can't get a nice aim with the sniper like you could in UC2. It goes straight to zoom.
3. Spawns are weird, and sometimes I'll spawn directly behind someone and get the kill.

This is why it's a beta. Leave feedback at their forums. I spawned in a room with two bad guys. It was.. interesting.

Found out why my psn shut down. Net got knocked out by the brief storm.

So far this is pretty fun, though a bit annoying at times too. Reminds me a lot of Metal Gear Online.

Yeah HM , I agree that its a lot slowed down, but so was UC2 when it first started out, they brought the total health down a lot so thats why UC2 is as it stands today.

Yes the pistol now sucks BUT all of the weapons have been nerfed considerably EXCEPT for the FAL/G-MAL... so its more like that one is super "OP" and everything else is normal, so it all just seems less then stellar.

Well, since the game reminds me of Metal Gear Online, I continue in trend of saying "screw assault rifles" and sucking at them, yet balancing that out by using sprint and stealth to get good amounts of neck snaps and spacing to use grenades as traps.

Generally end up third out of five of whatever team I'm on.

Glad someone agrees! Maybe they thought the sniper was too strong, especially since you can start with it now. But I think the 2 body shots to kill is a perfect fix.

Ah. Yeah, that buddy feature is really cool. Feels like something they developed for 3TD, realized how useful it is, and put it into other modes.

Might give me reason to hope back on tonight then. Oh and yea, the sensitivity slider, first couple of matches I had to find that as soon as possible, aiming felt incredibly slow.
