I don't think powerplays are bad, the just need to kick in when the teams a more further apart in point value. I've seen them happen when my team was up by a couple points, it's not like our opponents were so low that they needed the help.

I'm so in love with this Beta. I can't wait for more maps and a lot more unlockables.

But I finally had a really dumb 2v2v2 match with numbers. The guys just hung out in the zipline room and kept getting the 3 medal treasure and then they'd always have the RPG.

Man, weapon / mod unlocks are miserable. I feel bad for people sub-level 12 who use an AK-47. It's near impossible for them to win a firefight against someone with Rate of Fire equipped. Feels wrong mowing them down - even worse when they're the guys on your team going 2 - 15. That just can't be fun.

I have yet to have a bad game on the beta, which is surprising given how horrendous I have been on several UC2 matches

At lower levels I followed higher level people around and picked up dropped weapons with better mods.

^That's what lower levels are doing to me, but I'm mean and tell them to f*** off, because they keep getting in my way.

Feels wrong just using an AK at all! You really don't have to play that long to get levelled up.

So I watched the cinema of that match last night where I got 2 hail marys without doing anything. One guy just fell through the stage while running, 100% random, and I got a grenade kill. I threw no nade anywhere within like 3 mins either way of that time and wasn't even close to him.

The 2nd time a guy just keeled over and died for no reason and gave me a nade kill.
Though a grenade did land next to his dead body, but that was like 5 seconds later.

Grenades are goofy. Sometimes they work like they're supposed to, sometimes it can land under their feet and they live, sometimes people get blown up through a wall. Gotta fix this.

Disruption unlocked several levels early for me, not sure why. Already paid for too. I've also spawned outside the walls in the air field.

I still have everything in the game unlocked and I'm only level 10. No idea why.

Also, I got some guy really angry at me earlier by using the "Taunt for Ammo" booster. Every time I'd kill him he'd go bananas and swear at me. I just taunted harder.

I'm really enjoying the Beta. There are so many additions to the game that make it a better shooter than Uncharted 2, which is not something I was looking for, but really appreciate. There are a handful of issues I have with the Beta, however, including a couple key philosophical ideas Naughty Dog has taken for UC3, but I'm gonna withhold commenting on them in detail until I get to play the objective modes. Objective-based gameplay is where UC multiplayer shines!

I've not had a single problem with grenades. They always work for me. But I will honestly never get used to pressing triangle to throw them back.

Treasure is my favorite new idea. It gives you something else to go after in the middle of a match, and it just fits well with Uncharted in general. Cool idea.

What it needs is to remove the wall guarding the treasure box from the hallway. Put someone there and by the zipline and that room is secure.

I'm not sure that I would change anything about Chateau. That might be my favorite MP map across both games. It works really well as is, and it's not too hard to take control of that room when the other team is camping there. Couple of people can throw grenades from the bottom, 2-3 others can do the same from above and rush the room. I dunno, I like it as it is. Any change could be for the worse, and that'd be bad news.

Airfield, though, yeesh. What's up with weapons not spawning there?

I'm really in love with the M9. It's got some recoil, but it's amazing otherwise.

Airstrip part 1 is awful period. The respawns are broken (Heroes always respawn on the plane, villains always on the cars). And even though its better to be from the plane, its horrible period in its imbaness

G-MAL is a nice beginning weapon. It's so good that it should be the default weapon. I think people would have an easier time at it when they first play, because it doesn't have the crazy recoil. I switched back to the AK-47 after I got Rate of Fire, though. Ever since that unlocked I usually go like 16-4!

Also, Micro Pistol is nuts. That thing needs to not be as strong as it is! Para needs less recoil and more power - worst thing about the beta imho

Yeah, the micro is insane as well. It's perfect for blindfire and doing the punch right after. Hell it's great just aiming and firing.

I've noticed that people have started catching on to how effective that tactic can be. It can annoying dealing with those dudes running around, jumping and blindfiring, especially on Chateau when someone knows what they're doing.

Micro is better if you don't punch at all imo. As long as you start firing first with the micro close up on someone, and run around in a circle, the worst that will happen is you'll trade kills

yeah. if you get the mirco off first, you'll most likely kill the guy and unless he has a micro as well, you'll get the kill. then you use your daredevil booster to get your ammo back and, if someone is about to shoot you, your smoke bomb to get away!
