Flashing in, Flinging someone and then cleansing any CC on me is hilarious because not only did they waste their CC on the tank but it also did absolutely nothing. Flash + Ignite or Teleport + Flash 1) Cleanse is bad. Singed gets tenacity from his ult and if you get a tenacity item on him (which is sometimes a good idea, but is situational ofc) then CC doesn't last long on you at all. Cleanse would be a waste. 2) Do not flash to initiate as a rule of thumb. Singed is fast enough (I run 3 move quints btw ^_^) with an AoE Slow that you can catch people just by being in the right place at the right time. Flash to catch someone after they flash, or to escape. There might be the rare situation when an offensive flash is necessary early in a battle, but I would say likely not. From: Lopen \| #173 Also Singed doesn't really need that gold/5 stuff. He farms just fine on his own and he shouldn't have mana issues if you're smart with the poison toggle. His Ult also gives defense so he doesn't really need to prioritize defense early. Should save money on that and rush Rod of Ages instead imhhho. I don't get HoG, but I will get Philo stone for one of 2 reasons: (1) I'm solo against someone against who I will NEED the extra regen or (2) I need tenacity and so it's going to be a miracle very early on. (Philo into Boots into Cata into Miracle) I don't get it just to sit on it all day though because as you said, singed farms like a boss. But I also almost never get RoA these days. Once in a blue moon they will be lacking in a certain kind of damage and it will free my build up to include more AP, but usually their damage is split well enough that I have to get a frozen heart or sunfire cape in addition to the typical MR items. This allows you to be extremely useful, but in different ways, without having to farm a deathcap, lichbane and voidstaff. As for AP alistar build I just summed it up. I would start with dorans ring. Then boots, then 1-3 more dorans rings (totalling 2-4 depending on how many you feel you need. Into deathcap, into lich bane and very likely into void staff unless they do not have the MR to make it viable. But something people haven't been considering is the fact that AP Alistar had better AP ratios at dreamhack. They have since been nerfed but they were playing on an old patch then. From there you get some primary resists based on situation, and I see a lot of Atma's as well in late game. I am personally fond of trinity on him, but I wouldn't say that I've seen others use it. He still picks up the occasional ban, and he's still used, but not in every single game like he used to be. 30-50% of the games I guess?
