Done for tonight, but singed is so good right now and because of all my previous experience I'm taking to him very very well.
I am 46 wins and 26 losses with singed in ranked. A couple months ago I was 14 wins and 14 losses and then they buffed singed and I said "oh, it's time to start playing singed again!".
Before this 8 game streak I had 59.38% and now it's up to 63.9 ^_^
Well I know he likes to whip it out at the drop of a hat but you know back in my day we had civil discussion without it turning into some sort of twisted exposé

I don't know why, I haven't played League of Legends long enough, but Singed is just GOOD. Anyone that plays with me knows I play nothing but tanks and off tanks, from Nasus and Olaf to Rammus and Amumu, but Singed is just better than all of them with significantly less armor and magic resist.
I get Philo Stone, Heart of Gold and Banshee's Veil and I can somehow just troll the enemy relentlessly.
FD what Summoner Spells do you go with? I run Flash and and Cleanse. Flashing in, Flinging someone and then cleansing any CC on me is hilarious because not only did they waste their CC on the tank but it also did absolutely nothing.

At the level of the account I use Singed on(17) I get CC'd all the time because new players panic when they Singed flash in because they know the Fling is coming.
When I play with JC and Kanz and HGR I go Ghost Flash. Once I get those Move Speed runes for Singed I'll drop Ghost and run Ignite just to further gimp the enemy team.

Also Singed doesn't really need that gold/5 stuff. He farms just fine on his own and he shouldn't have mana issues if you're smart with the poison toggle. His Ult also gives defense so he doesn't really need to prioritize defense early.
Should save money on that and rush Rod of Ages instead imhhho.
Those summoner skills are solid enough though-- I usually run Flash + Ghost though cause yeah if I'm getting CCed the other team is probably dumb or they have way too much CC for cleanse to get through anyway and should just be itemed against rather than using a slot on that.

1.I know that Runes don't make up for Ghost. But once I get them I'll have that extra little UMPH i need early game to catch people which is all I really ever use ghost for.
2.Ever since FD mentioned it, I've been going banshees over ROA and it has helped a TON. Rylai's gives me all the AP I need and it has an effect that I prefer over ROA.
3.I'm usually in a 2 on 1 lane with Singed because Dara's brother goes Nunu a lot or Han goes Xin Zhao. I can't really farm early in a 2 on 1 lane so I rely on early game kills and my philo stone.
Managing Mana is for CHUMP SINGEDS! It's all about rushing those Move Speed 3 Boots and running past the turret and clearing the enemies minion waves before they even get there!

And as for why ignite is not a good spell on singed:
He's a tank. Ignite is best used on dps or burst characters to seal the deal. Singed can kill people but that's not really his main goal and taking away their healing is not really a great "gimp." You might as well just use exhaust if you're going that route-- though I guess exhaust kinda sucks now? *shrug
And yeah rushing Banshee's is fine too-- I usually get both but banshees can be first if the enemy has too much damn CC. I just kinda think using gold/5 junk that has mostly extraneous stats slows Singed down too much. His base stats are kinda weak early game so he needs good items early imhhho.
But yeah you can run down lanes and poison minion waves without a philostone. Just gotta remember to turn the poison off when you're "done" with it is what I meant. Singed shouldn't have mana problems if you rush Banshee's/RoA cause his pool is gonna be really high then, his moves don't have really high mana costs, and his ult gives him a lot of mana back and has short recharge.

No reason to use Boots of Swiftness on Singed when you have movespeed quints + utility movespeed thingy. If not Mercs then Ninja Tabi give you defensive stats and dodge, which combined with that defense tree dodge mastery basically give you 10% extra movespeed when you're poisoning minion waves.

Random question are the ranked stats going to reset? And if so is it going to be soon? I assumed when season 1 ended (it's over, right?) there'd be some manner of reset but well, obviously it hasn't yet.

Protip: Ninja Tabi is pretty much never the answer unless you're facing an all physical team or something.
Realo's for the most part right in that boots of swiftness are the pick you want unless the opponents have AoE/cheap slows or a lot of CC. I mean yeah you're going to be faster than them without +3 move most of the time but being more faster is important on a guy who needs to get into melee to do much of anything. Which is why ghost is good to keep around, too.

To be fair me being right is actually surprising even without the jab here because knowing this requires lots of item analysis: since Eleisa's Miracle came out, you have no reason not to pick up Swifties and Miracle in place of Mercs, giving you nearly as much Tenacity but more of dat speed. The only other option if you don't go with this is Mercs...and Reverie for the stupid high MS boost on tap. Depending on how much Tenacity you'll need those are the only two viable choices for Singed (especially because Banshee's will tank a CC for you, diminishing the need for even MORE reduction than your ult provides).
Those are the champs I own that I feel most comfortable playing as. I want to learn a champ that can be a reliable source of damage, preferably AP, though. I think my last hitting has gone from horrendous to only sub par, so I'm taking steps towards being able go do that if ever needed, I like to think. I just need more versatility in play style so that people who play with me are more free to do whatever they want and I can feel the remaining needed roles.

2.Philo Stone becomes a SICK ASS item( Riot smartly raised the price because that item is just so damned good) with Tenacity allowing me to run Swift Boots. Singed is the only character I rush tier 2 boots on because being uncatchable in the early game is HUGE. I can roam, gank, and farm minion waves without the least bit of worry about dying because if someone chases me they will die.
3.Pork you should get Taric. I did. Best decision I've made since buying Singed. Taric can do so damn much. I've owned him less than 24 hours and I've:
Aura Whored with Aegis and Shureylai(however you spell that ****)
Full on Support/Roam with tons of wards everywhere
Tanked with Guardian Angel and Aegis and Randuins
Hell, I even played AP Taric when one of our guys switched to Suppot Sona at the last second. DEM BURST HEALS.

OK, after more plank games, I think I finall have a handle on him. Believe it or not, his main item is NOT IE...but instead triforce. He needs way too many stats and items to do his stuff, so triforce is just plain glorious on him. Sheen subs for IE early on, and later on combos with ghostblade and Edge to annihilate enemies, the slow is gold, and crit is crit. Whatever you do, rush this on pirate. Don't listen to people who tell you to play tankplank - the true strength of pirate comes from being POWER! COURAGE! AND WISDOM! ALL IN ONE!
Plus, more people should use Kayle. I've been promoting her by raping faces but people still think it's luck. Kayle's Q is stupid right now. My AP Runes give me 24 Ability to start the game and a Doran's Ring let's me open with around 70 attack and AP at level 1. At level one her Q is doing 100+ damage. At level 3 it's doing near 200.
The second she hits level 3, one Q+E Combo can harass anyone out of lane.

As in level 3 dropping near 200 damage combined with an E move that does more damage if they've been Q'd so you can effectively harass anything without being close to it.
