All my machines are already on 10. Even work has already moved to Win 10 and big companies are usually slow about those kinds of moves.

I already reluctantly switched from 8.1 to 10. I actually liked 8 and I hate that mobile shit.

Yep. No reason to upgrade unless software just refuses to work with it anymore. My computer mainly helps me with taxes, so I really don't need an "upgrade".

Yes. Win3.1 and DOS, I preferred Digital Research DR-DOS over MS-DOS.

Currently using a laptop with Windoze Vista, still okay for printing out invoices. Consoles for games, tablets for internet. Non-smart phone for phone calls.

At this point, most Linux desktop distros are almost indistinguishable from Windows 10. Last time I downloaded Ubuntu I had to double check I didn't accidently download Windows by accident once I got it running.

I will keep using 7 until I have some problems with it. My cpu is getting pretty old now, like 8-9 years old. I doubt it could really handle windows 10 very well. I have also seen way too problems with windows 10. So no reason for me to switch it over. When I start to have a lot of problems, I will probably try a Linux system, like Ubuntu or Linux Mint.
Eventually I will get a new cpu, and then I will figure out what I want to do...or maybe windows will have another OS out by then. But I figure this will give a me a good chance to try out a Linux OS and see how I like it.

She only uses Chrome. Shut your mouth and stop acting like you understand. I have to start up Chrome for her as a startup process because she doesn't know how to do anything else.

This. As much as I'd love to stick with 7, not having updates leaves me more vulnerable than I'd like. I've got 10 on my laptop already, and it's rather bothersome in some ways, but I've at least gotten used to it already.

could get her a Chromebit or other Chrome O/S device. (hmm Chromebit used to be $120, but seems to be more like $150-200+ these days.)

Hate Windows 10

Why can't companies retain the user interface and just keep the security up to date? Why do they always force such horrible changes on people? Not just Windows OS, it's even more annoying with all of the websites that adopt "minimalist design" or "mobile friendly" layouts, with no option to go back to a version that doesn't suck for those of us on laptops/desktops.

(And yes, I have Classic Shell. it helps, but not totally. Also since a Win10 update several months ago, it says it needs to be updated but fails to anytime I accept, so....not sure if that's gonna be an issue eventually)

I use Windows 8.1 with Classic Shell so it's basically Windows 7 but better.

Yes I still have about 7-8 virtual machines that I have win7 on. Nearly all of my professional work is done in virtual machines, so I'll be using it for a very long time yet.

Been using Win10 since I got this PC, don't see any reason to not use it.

I'm not using it now.

There's too many headaches with trying to get Windows 7 working and modern games have been shifting away from it.

Besides, if you're REALLY committed, I'm sure some people will continue hacking Windows Embedded POS 7 updates until it goes EOL (although you don't get 5 years like you did with POSReady 2009 but rather just a measly one and some months since it ends in October of 2021).
