It's obviously exaggerated for comedic effect for the audience she is speaking to.

But yeah they meet and fall in love immediately, he spends the rest of the movie looking for her and finds her at the end which saves her life. All without knowing his actual name. That's not really a story tailored for a modern audience anymore.

I honestly think people are more confused than anything about this movie.
Like, why is it even called Snow White, if there's almost no element of it?

The bones are there. It's still about a princess on the run from a wicked stepmother who wants her dead, who ends up shacking up with diamond miners, yes?

I am sure I will be labeled a Trumper or Republican by some for saying this, but the topic posted in the OP and the subsequent echo chamber is not reality.

Its way too much to post (and Im at school right now), but basically I think women are just tired of being put in a box.

There is this direction that Hollywood is rabidly moving towards where every single female character has to be a girl boss. Its very limiting and implies that women who do not fall into that category are weak and/or lesser.

Actress Claire Foy had this to say about the strong female character movement:

I don't know if disturbing is the right word for it. I look at it as more annoyance and for them, why mess with the story completely and do all these changes. I'm not suggesting a remake needs to be the exact same, but it comes off more as trying to go a different route and it's not impressing anyone. You might as well be doing a different movie without having Snow White in it. Or do something like the Huntsman movie that came out a decade ago.

Okay and? People are allowed to say stupid shit. And we are allowed to hate them for it.
