How many?

I get 25. Plus like 8 days that is not vacation, but kind of "flexible holidays", that used to be fixed at small Christian holidays but now we can use for whatever. I'm an engineer in Sweden.

How many do you get CE? And put your job and country of work!

21 paid sick and 21 paid vacation, but they're used exactly the same. No idea why they bothered separating them, so it's 42 total. Then 13 paid holidays (14 every other year). I am but a humble office assistant in America.

22 Vacation
1 Floating
12 Holidays
No cap on sick days but accrue 4 hours per pay period, so I guess 26 days?

EDIT: Realize I HAVE 22 days of vacation but accrue vacation at same rate as sick pay. So, also 26 days! The longer you've worked, the higher your vacation accrual. Believe max is 8 hours per pay period after 18 years. Sheesh.

Oh I forgot about sick days. I have a lot of those but that's paid by social insurance (taxes), not the employer. I think

25 paid vaccation days, + national holidays, + sick days when a doctor says I'm sick, and that hurdle is pretty low.

EDIT: This year there are 12 holidays falling on a working day (Mon - Fri), so that's that.

I get "vacation pay", where my pay is slightly higher per hour instead of getting days off. I don't remember the percentage; it might be 5%. it's not good. we'll be negotiating a union contract in the near future; this is one of the things that might change

Sounds like a good thing to negotiate. Not a big fan of those "vacation pay" things.

3 weeks vacation (can carry over 2)
5 sick days (can carry over unlimited)

8 holiday days but we were just told that we get off the full week between Christmas and New Year so that's an additional 3 days.

Plus every friday between Memorial Day and Labor day we get out 3 hours early.

I think for certain jobs (this job in particular is a service job) it can work better than paid leave. it's far from the top priority, but it might get brought up in an upcoming meeting

10 Vacation, 5 sick, but they can be used interchangeably.

But the sick days get paid out at the end of the year.

Only difference is vacation days are used if you request them in advance, sick days are used if you call out the day of.

When you leave the company, you can cash out vacation days but not sick days. Also might have something to do with how they roll over at the end of each year. You might be able to roll over a few vacation days into the next year but none of your sick days.

  • 22 Personal Days
  • 5 Sick Days
  • 9 Paid Holidays
5 personal days can carry over until the end of the fiscal year (end of January); sick days carry over but you can't use more than 40 hours in a year so there's no point in banking them.

Im sitting on 240 hours.
I accrue at .0775/hr so I generate about 3 hours a week. So 20 and some change days a year with rollover but there's a cap on how much you can have which is 240 until I reach 15 years. It used to be 300 for my range but they rolled it back.

I just spend 8 hours every other week on a day off so I'm not wasting time. I used a week last year because I went out on paternity leave a week before we delivered. I've had 40 hours paid out a couple.or times but they tax the shit out of it.

Normally about 5 weeks paid vacation + 4 flex days + 11 company flex days + unlimited sick days. Ironically because of covid, I think I had about close to 3 mths of available vacation at the beginning of this year cause I couldn't burn them off fast enough previous years. The vacation days are an illusion though, cause I can't afford to use them cause I just fall behind in work too much whenever I do go on vacation.

21 days of PTO
2 volunteer days
5 sick days
11 paid holidays (although we recently bullied the CTO to give us off 7/3 so this year will be 12)

We get an extra PTO day every year until year 5 iirc. After year 5 we only get a new PTO day every 2-3 years but we can start taking a paid 6 week sabbatical.

Basically how my company is.
I'm the same way regarding WFH. I'd always use my PTO cause I'd feel burnt out from being in the office/making the drive everyday. Now that I can take some mental breaks throughout the day to do chores or play videogames, I never feel that burn out. I actually struggle to take all my yearly PTO.

My vacation and sick time are in hours, but basically I get four weeks vacation each year and I can roll over up to 40 hours.
Sick/Personal time is accrued at a rate of 0.13 hours per hour of work, to max of 75 hours. Anything past that is paid out. The company doesn't like people having maxed out sick time lol
Two floating holidays, but one is MLK and they typically want you to use that one between Jan-Mar.
