Patriot's actually doing well for me in Conquest as long as I dodge control decks with Enchantress... which, hey, everyone has their bad matchups. Haven't seen much of her thankfully.

Anyone else start getting a matchmaking bug within the last 5 minutes? In ranked if that matters

The matchmaking just times out before it can match me

took a hot second to find a match shortly after the reset but it was fine after that

Wow spider ham starts out at series 4, pretty interesting. Kinda glad I didn't drop 6k on Silk since I might get him + another card instead.

To me he seems like an Iceman alternative more than anything. In the sense that you hurt their hand in a way that you can never really confirm. They'll just never play that card, and it could be that they just never drew it in the first place. The only thing you'll notice is that your win % subtly increases by playing him.

Another interesting thing is that he's kind of the complement to Iceman. Where Iceman can make 3/4/5 cost cards useless, Spiderham can make 6 costs useless.

That just means its time to play Agatha

Would it be better to play him later once theres a better chance the opponent has drawn their big stuff?

I think he has value in both scenarios. Hard to play him at a wrong time, at least in Best-of-1 Ladder

well if you have two one drops in your hand on turn 1 i might opt to save spider-ham for later but if thats the only 1 drop Im dropping it on 1 every time.

Its more likely than not youre going to hit something good to decent

Ham would probably be used even if he had Hood statline. Probably gets bumped to 2/0 at some point.

It's slightly less value than previous token tuesdays, but still better than most bundles. Also since two cards are skipping series 5 this month that means your total token spend could be lower

Looks like the way Pig works is that the base Pig card is 4/0 and then gets cost and power added/subtracted to match the original card. So Zabu will reduce their cost and Shadow King could turn them to 0 power. And Quantum Realm will boost them by 2 points

The token bundles mostly look like theyre getting worse sadly. Some more bundles got leaked including one with an anime Spider-Man and anime Black Widow duo (as in 2 cards in the same bundle)

PSA: Spider Ham is somehow not actually available to pull from caches right now, so don't open them for the sole purpose of trying to get him

Got the Sandman bundle since its a better value than Token Tuesday and allowed me to get Spider-Ham

But now for the first time since I started my Gold reserves are running low.

also worth noting, High Evo'd Hulk and Knull power bonuses dont get wiped out by turning into a pig, but their power won't grow any more after turning into a pig

presumably (hopefully) a bug but for now don't forget it

ALSO if pig hits a 4 cost card, Zabu will subtract TWO from its cost, for some reason it double dips on the pig being 4 cost and the original card being 4 cost

I feel like with the success of this game, things should release with fewer bugs

I still sincerely hate how Providing Grounds is loaded with Galactus, Nebula/Monkey bounce and HE decks. Its just fucking ranked without cubes at this point

I had another person try to stall out turns yesterday in Proving Grounds. His deck wasn't made to be extremely annoying for it like the last one I dealt with, but it was clear he was trying to bait me into conceding because he would take so long on each turn.

They should make Conquest turn length shorter or something because it's starting to become a strategy for some people.

I hope they improve Conquest going forward. Everything costs way too many medals and makes the card feel like its grinding from tier 1 to infinite

If Dracula discards those cards, does he get their current power or base power?

It's really unclear to me if them showing the updated power is meant to be a QOL feature or if they're actually supposed to have that power in hand.

So based on these I assume it looks at what the displayed number is for cost and power when it transforms into a Pig, thats why Hulk and Knull get that effect but not other Ongoings like Morbius. So a Zabu played after it became a Pig would not cause the double benefit

Currently Dracula gets the displayed number from Knull (and I assume Hulk but have never seen it) even though other Ongoings dont work the same way. Theyve said they intend to make this more consistent but until they find another way to easily display those numbers without forcing you to keep track of it in your head, this is the compromise.

Oh boy a Brood Avatar from a Reserve. Can these not be Reserve rewards already? Ive gotten like 3 in the last 2 days now and none are any Id even use. If they had some real missions/events they could just make Avatars and Titles weekly rewards since nobody cares about those anywhere near as much as variants.

Ah well hoping Ill be lucky enough to get Nebula or Silk from a Reserve one of these days. Even Quinjet would be nice since my Random deck is so much fun in Conquest. Ive been surprised the kinds of decks Ive beaten with this random junk

Storm on 3, Jugg on 4, Spider-Man on 5 is so toxic. I'm surprised that package doesn't just get put into more decks instead of HE Control.

Has anyone else noticed a large amount of bots lately? I feel like I see boneheaded moves a lot more than I used to.

I've never seen someone get such a good run out and still lose to me. I never even drew my Rogue or Shang.

I think they used up too much space on cost-reductions, they should've only copied one of those two. Didn't have the space to actually take advantage of the low costs

Playing against new Galactus is very fun imo. They do go for the T6 play more often, which can create a nice puzzle.

This was satisfying in Conquest

Just had a conquest this morning where I was playing C3 against a Galactus. Beat him for 8 the first game. Then he whittled away at 2 cubes a game until we were both at 2 and I beat him handedly again for the last game. It was annoying.

That's definitely more of a Conquest problem than anything

High Evo making the game worse combined with Conquest draining the ladder players increased the bots a ton this season yes.

also (again) they had a ranked reset bug which put a lot of players near or already in infinite right when the season started

if you were typically matching against people with infinite card backs in previous seasons, you likely lost a good amount of your mmr bracket pretty early in the season

7 rounds to slowly lose to a Lockjaw HE. The same fucking deck that everyone is using in this game right now.

I have 30 Silver tickets saved up I think I might just sit here and concede them all to not have to deal with this garbage.

Except I also see Dracula and Infinaut instead of Wave and Magneto.

But the big problem with this deck isn't even really HE, it's Lockjaw like it always is.

Wasp and Hulk buff are a big part of the problem though

Wasp in particular cycling out with Lockjaw and her on reveal is super obnoxious

If HE Wasp's On Reveal doesn't get reduced to only hitting one card by this time next month I'll be amazed

Yeah maybe it's time to move Thor back to being a 4/6 instead of 3/4 as well. Or make Mjolnir buff less or something, idk.

Plenty of games where Thor ends up as a 3/16 because of hitting Mjolnir twice which is cuckoo.

Lockjaw really isnt as good now that he can only replace 1 card a turn. 90% of the time I can never even get my 0 cost cards like Wasp to be used repeatedly because I dont end up getting Jane to come out or Thor for a hammer even

Lockjaw is actually better now because he can only rotate one. The number of times I drop Wasp into LJ and then play Jane into the same lane to redraw Wasp is huge
