I guess I understand some of the reasons here, I guess. The transition to the 90s makes sense for a number of people.

My parents got me it for Christmas, along with a game holder. They also got my sister one of those and we both got a game... She got a Sesame Street game lol.

I still think being younger back when it came out, you really had a different perspective on it. When it hit, man it was revolutionary. I'm glad it took off and was still entertaining in the 90s. But, if nothing else, there is a different perspective on the evolution given some age differences.

As soon as I was old enough to start getting into gaming, there was both an NES and SNES in the basement of our parent's house (and probably a gameboy?).

My grandparents only had an NES at their house.

Anybody ever have the robot that came with it at launch? THAT was an experience, though it failed.

Yeah, '94, I very much remember playing Tecmo Bowl as a small child and seemingly randomly having a character be ridiculously OP. I never figured out what the heck was going on there, and that it was even intentional (to represent Bo Jackson).
I also remember playing the OG Zelda, and at one point to remember where the hell the fairy fountain was I drew on the TV screen to try to mark it, lmao.

We eventually had a N64, I dunno if we had a SNES.

Born in 93, my first video game experience was NES. Didn't have anything else until Gameboy Color and N64. Don't remember which of those 2 I got first

My first gaming experience was playing super Mario bros and duck hunt on my dads NES

Yes, I lived near West Palm Beach, FL back in 1988... so there was a lot of pictures from people having parties on their sailboats and yachts. Which involved a lot of naked people, booze, and lines of cocaine.

I was 15 at the time... so I would intentionally misprinted those "as a mistake" before then printing them with the proper color balance.

The mistakes were kept in a mistake bin, which was very nice when business was slow.

My first was an NES but it was borrowed. The first we owned was N64.

Born in 1989, first console was indeed a NES. Got it in 1994 with, I shit you not, 34 games. My brother and I felt like a foxes in a hen house.

That was Florida in the '80s. Every single $20 bill had traces of cocaine on it from all the cocaine that was being snorted back then. At least, that was the word back then.

born in 81... Yes it was the NES. Had some old hand me down consoles that didn't work (atari and a Oddesey).

The first console I rember having was this bootleg NES called Phantom System. Then there was a Mega Drive too

I think I played a GBA first but only really got started with the DS system.

There was definitely a NES in the house already when I was born, maybe a SNES too.

you know gamefaqs is like majority of people in their 30s+ right? not sure the last time we had an age poll on here but i've noticed over the years the majority has gone up as i got older. i know the early ones i did when i was a teen i was in the majority. last one i remember i like around 30 was the majority.

i voted snes as my first since that's the oldest i remember but it could have also been the nes with dunk hunt when i was like 2.

I mean, we didn't have many games for it (mainly just Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt, Dr. Mario, and Guardian Legend), so my grandma actually played Dr. Mario on it more than used it.

We got an SNES somewhere around 95 or so, but the NES was still my first console.

Mine was SNES. But my cousins was NES. Hes only a year older, though He was 88, and I was 89 That said, birth year isnt the only thing that matters
