I just noticed the Dolphins are probably starting 0-4 but if they don't PANIC they might go from 0-4 to 7-4 without a single change. Their schedule gets way easier after the first 4.

If the Dolphins are actually good, they can win 3 of those 4. I wouldn't be surprised if they went 2-2. Getting Lamar and Burrow early is actually good for them.

No, Vrabel doesn't count. He never coached under Belichick, just played under him.

Also we have a lot of strong contenders for tank bowl... Even as early as week 7!.... And the first 3 all involve the Giants.

Week 7: Giants at Jaguars. Both teams will be 0-6 or 1-5. Loser of this game is on the much better track.

Week 10: The 2-6 or 1-7 Giants host the 0-8 or 1-7 Texans after their bye week.

Kinda think they'll start Tyrod for that game and "secretly" hope he just totally bombs out.

Week 11: Lions at Giants

Both teams need a QB next season. All important L to pick up here. Lions may already have 3 wins at this point - They really don't need another.

Week 13: Jaguars at Lions

Again, the Lions need this "more" than the Jags do.

Week 14: Lions at Jets

...And "more" than the Jets do.

Week 16: Jaguars at Jets.

Potential battle for a top 3 pick.

Week 17: Jaguars at Texans.

...Potential battle for a top 3 pick. Texans are a contender for #1 even with Giants and Jags x2 on their schedule.

Some seriously important Ls to snag in there!

Both Jones and Barkley are gone after this year and the Giants will be in total rebuild. Lions need a QB. Texans probably need a QB. Jaguars and Jets just need talent anywhere they can get it.

The runaway favorite for #1 pick though... Feels like Atlanta, who is in none of those matchups. They're already committed to the tank (I have absolutely no idea who any of their QBs are offhand), and they have a really good shot at like 2-15 here. The worst team they play all season is Chicago. There's a good possibility they enter that Chicago game 1-9 or 0-10.

Giants are in serious need of help, but I feel like the Falcons and Seahawks are the top contenders for the Top Pick this year.

Jacksonville's defense and better coaching overall should give them more wins than last season.
Jets are going to depend on the development of Zach Wilson. Could be back by week 1.
Lions will probably win a few games they absolutely shouldn't.
Texans are probably the third contender for Top Pick after offloading their garbage.

Without looking at schedules, do you not expect Seattle to be much of a contender for a top pick?

I wouldn't give Seattle any wins without thought with Geno Smith and Drew Lock as their QBs

Also Vrabel didn't coach under Belichick but he does coach like him

I'll never forget him using that delay of game running clock loophole against New England when the Titans killed the dynasty and getting under Belichick's skin with it

Cowboys have a pretty easy schedule. Giants twice. Commanders twice. (Nobody should have faith in Carson Wentz). Jaguars. Lions. Texans. Bears. I don't think the Eagles are that good either. Also don't think Matt Ryan will do much for Indianapolis.

They do 100% lose in the first round of the playoffs though.
