I'd argue the same for anyone over the age of 50 unless tested to show they still have full use of their faculties.

No one with an IQ under 40 should use the internet.

You get to make up silly laws for children under 18 once you produce them.

Personally, I think it's barbaric

A better solution would be to allow parents to abort children up until they turn 18.

"The internet" is pretty broad. TC wants poor kids to have little access to research and study materials for school projects while white kids get to use well funded libraries and shit. Poor kids also stuck with bargain bin DVDs and over-the-air TV while white kids get bluray, on demand cable, and regular trips to the cinema.

I think limiting your statement to Social Media is way more realistic. Also people born between 1980 and 2000 are by far the most responsible users, since we literally grew up with it as it evolved from nothing.

The internet is good for education and porn though.

First, if you're doing cognitive testing at 50, you should test under 50, too, because you're not going to have a dropoff at 50 that you wouldn't have sooner.

Second, I'd go a step further on both -- only landowners should be allowed to vote, since only landowners truly have an investment in society.

Im sure this is a shitposting topic, but in seriousness, I think there needs to be some way to determine if a person is mentally well enough to handle being on the Internet. Or at least social media sites (including forums and message boards).

Ehm... I get the concerns but there ought to be exemptions (contacting the outside world for help is an obvious example). I think that mandatory courses on internet safety would be good to have alongside typing classes, though.

Parental supervision. If a father must allow his children to do homework on the internet, he can set child blocks, right? The internet is a matrix of information with junk, yet also mentally stimulating content, if he might control the usage from time to time. 18 years old is so far off, in my opinion, for he can help them to be aware what's right when there is so much baiting to inappropriate sites they can't tell apart yet.

I haven't seen one in years but a lot of those were pretty shitty back then. They would block innocent stuff. All you really need is safe search on with Google search.
