Ive been listening to the Last Podcast on the Left and bought a few books they referenced and Im trying to decide which to start. I bought The Great Mortality that covers the Black Death. And Blitzed which covers the use of drugs in Nazi Germany.

I haven't sat down and read a fiction book in so long I fear that It'll be even more arduous than it used to be for me....honestly if I'm gonna do something that doesn't work towards making me more money (for pleasure) it's probably not gonna be reading these days. Though I want to read Hyperion and Dune.

I'd rather read manga and I still read manga slow compared to others partially because I go over the panels and details a bunch lol.

I feel I'm good at reading and taking notes on non-fiction content though which is weird...I once memorized a geology textbook in college to a ridiculous extent in like a few nights when I was taking it as an elective and had the final test.

Not a lot at the moment. I used to read a ton, but I've had a hard time picking up new authors so the number of books I read continues to decline.

Currently rereading the wheel of time series. I was about halfway through the first book when I learned that there's a tv adaptation that starts airing next month, so the timing feels fortunate.

Calvino is great. One of my favorite books is On a Winters Night a Traveler.

Very unique book. I only read the house parts and not the journal on my second read.

I just read both Frankenstein and Deacula myself. Frankenstein was okay but Dracula I really liked.

I really liked Frankenstein, though the writing doesn't pull you in as much as a lot of great authors (including Stoker) but I do love the themes

I read the Neuromancer trilogy (Neuromancer, Count Zero, Mona Lisa Overdrive). It was ok. Mona Lisa Overdrive was the best of the three by a lot, but it wasn't fantastic, just good.

Now I'm on book three of the Bridge trilogy by the same author William Gibson (Virtual Light, Idoru, All Tomorrow's Parties). I think I liked the first trilogy better.

(None of this is worth reading and I don't recommend any of it.)

I haven't read any actual books in way too long, even though I used to be an avid reader. Nowadays it's just manga or maybe visual novels.
