I'm only at his first testimony yet I like him a lot already. The animations are a ton of fun and he's like really smart and savvy too. He'll be satisfying to take down.

I'm currently trying to figure out why Enoch would steal the Professor's figure in particular. Tusspells is on the witness bench.

Hmm, so the current theory is that Enoch knowingly uses that wax since it'll remind Sithe of a dark secret 10 years ago, so she'll be compliant when she sees the wax figure on her investigation.

And since there's a bloodstain on the camera from the wax exhibit, and there's Asman's name on the newspaper picture..

Maybe in truth Enoch, Sithe and Asman were all there that night after the execution? Sithe had made an arrangement with the Professor to fake his death.
Then as Sithe (let's say with Asman) went to dig up the Professor, Enoch witnessed the whole thing. There was some scuffle, but the Professor ended up dead, with his blood getting on the camera. Sithe and Asman told Enoch to zip it and keep it a secret.
Wait, but Sithe and Enoch conspired to (presumably) kill Asman.
So maybe Asman and the Professor coerced Sithe to fake the autopsy report and Enoch to keep his mouth shut. Then Sithe and Enoch couldn't stand it anymore and conspired to kill Asman...

Well, that was quite interesting.

But I'm quite concerned that there seems to be still more to the Professor's case. I suppose it might very well be that he was wrongly convicted and the real culprit is judge Jigoku.

Also I've a feeling we might get to defend Kazuma in the future after it's known that his father was (ostensibly) a serial murderer. The common mass might think that makes him likely to be a killer as well and there would be an outrage with the jury declaring him guilty all the time. It'll also make for a nice way to bookend the games.

So anyway, onwards to case 4! The Bow of Karma and something or the other. Here we have the sussy baka judge arriving together with Mikotoba father. It's kinda weird seeing them in Western clothes, tbh.

Anyway, one of the jurors from the last trial came in and asked us to find her husband. Her name is Evie Vigil. Her husband and chief warden, Daley Vigil, is missing.

With Prof. Mikotoba's letter, we met with the warden (they were old friends). Buuut he told us that Daley actually has been dismissed since...10 years ago. The timing coincides with the Professor's execution. Could he be the executioner?

But before we could go and search of Mr. Vigil some more, we learned from Gina that...

Inspector Gregson was shot dead?

This can't be...man, I wouldn't expect them to kill him off. :( RIP Gregsy. At least you can eat fish and chips to your heart's desire now.

Alas, we took off to the crime scene and it seems...Gregsy was Mr. Vigil?! Oh wow. He's also got a red wig! So maybe the person looking for redheads is up to no good.

And the cops are all in mourning. Turns out he was a well-respected cop with many cases under his belt...or did he collude with the criminals? You never know with these AA characters.

Man, with no Gregsy I suppose Inspector Lestrade will be our informant now (and she's a great copper, appropriately enough - I guess her divin' days got her some street smarts). But who will prosecute us? Mikotoba, Sr.?

I also found some "Dancing Dolls" reference on the whiteboard. And the doll with the removable head reminds me of the London arc of Detective Conan, where the MC also found dolls with removable heads that are supposedly referencing a Sherlock quote...

And that would be a sight to see "Pray, forgive the discourtesy of prosecuting myself in court..."

Man. On VZ's first testimony I objected to the part where he said it was dark, using the candelabrum. The judge dismissed it and penalized us. THEN Kazuma said made the EXACT SAME POINT and it was accepted?! What bull, smh

Also in the next set of witness we got...Espella Cantabella, a guy with scarily squishy lips, and that poor coachman now reduced to begging on the streets...well, he did rise the fare on his own and was too happy to do McGilded's bidding, but still, yeesh. What a sorry sight.

Hmm, I'm a bit stuck.
I'm at the part where the witness trio are explaining what they saw and did when they discovered the body.

Currently, from what I gather:
Gregson went into the room. Fifteen minutes later, VZ followed.
He couldn't see where Gregson was.
There was a bang. He picked up a revolver.
He heard the door being opened and a loud scream (that was actually Gossip).

When Gossip heard a loud bang and went in...
He saw Gregson's body, fell down, and left the bloody handprint.
Slightly behind him, Venus came in and erected the notice board again since she wanted to see if there was anything she could pilfer - and found the pocket watch.

Then somewhere there Sandwich came in and said he didn't see any upright board.

I...have no idea what I should do next. Anyone can give me a hint without outright spoiling the answer?

This sequence is really confusing. Phoenicius said if I can find a problem with their story it should be good.

But... The shot was heard at five and the watch Gregson was carrying when he fell and immortalized the time, it was also five.

WTF.

Oh wow Genshin Asogi actually wrote something, supposedly his last will, even though he was not to have any writing implements. They're called...the Asogi Papers. Maybe they found their way to Japan and that's where Susato saw the Baskervilles title?

Note to self: Dr. Sithe autopsied both the Professor and Klint Von Zieks. The latter was approved by the detective in charge of the case, Gregson.

Also Vigil said that he thought his deputy warden was the one who nailed the Professor's coffin shut, therefore tricking him into thinking he was already dead. If there were to be an important new character to be introduced, it's probably the deputy warden. Unless turns out it was actually Venus or Fabien or whoever in their past life.
