Do all 6 tutorials and then from the "Pokemon" menu you can jump into a "Practice" game.

Definitely sounds like people that know what they are doing and they are doing it intentionally. Taking advantage of the lack of chat and what they are likely assuming to be people new to the MOBA genre.

Just play Gengar and you can 1v9 every game. Sludge bomb hex, choice specs float stone, x speed is what I've been running. Once I hit level 10 I need to add a new item though so not sure what I'm gonna add yet

I'm going to be real, I've never played a MOBA before and I have absolutely no idea what the hell you're talking about. I understand the individual words, but they make no sense as a full sentence.

I think it's too much to expect the many many people who are trying this out the first time to understand what the strategy is, particularly since the tutorials are so basic. This isn't even a problem specific to this game. I remember watching a youtube series that had inexperienced players try out different video games to test how well the game's tutorials actually helped teach them how to play, and MOBAs fell really low down on the list. They mostly teach you basic controls and NOTHING else despite how complicated the overall gameplay can be so new players just drown and get flamed. That's just the way these games are designed. They're very unfriendly to new players which is really poor design considering how critical teamwork is to winning them. It's honestly a major problem.

It's such a simplified version of the genre that experience is honestly not necessary.

My main takeaway is that you virtually want to always be farming neutrals. 2 people farming the ones around the top/bottom lane each and 1 person farming in the middle. And you can engage when they overextend, but there is not much reason to sacrifice XP/Levels to get into a standoff with your opponents unless you have a clearly favorable matchup. Hell even if they stack 4 people top and 1 person bottom, it's better for your two top to just poke at them and maybe fight on/behind the platform where you can reach the healing berries, and just count on your 1+2 to make things happen bottom. You just need to always be farming XP and you steamroll.

I think the Garchomp bug has something to do with Zeraora's Wild Charge attack. The bug wasn't happening when I was playing Absol, but when I played a Zeraora game just now, I used Wild Charge on Garchomp and when I came out of it I went from 90%hp to 0 instantly. And in the battle overview, it would say Garchomp's regular attack did all the damage.

So uh yeah, if you are against a Garchomp and you are playing Zeraora... don't use Wild Charge on him I guess!

Not sure, but this was happening right when I was first starting too, I'm assuming the Garchomp's early on weren't using that yet.

After the first couple times it happened I was like wtf, does Garchomp have a OHKO move or something? And I went into his moveset and everything and was confused when I didn't see anything like that!

Maybe the 'reflect' damage from Rough Skin is counted as a basic attack? I don't know how it works, but I could imagine the Charge move interacting weirdly with it. Are those multi-hit moves?

I'm stuck in an endless loop. 1 Game will be a complete stomp in our favor where it doesn't even look like they know how to control their characters, and then next my team will be completely incompetent and the enemy team will seem like they are all on comms and directing each other around and going for objectives.

Like, I'm sure matchmaking is terrible and is putting solo people against full teams, I wouldn't expect anything less from nintendo... but come on, this is just ridiculous.

a six year old playing fortnite understands kill-stealing, and a four year old understands that grabbing a soccer ball another kid is playing with or is chasing is wrong

This is definitely not that simple. The game doesn't make it clear that this is stealing in the slightest. The point system isn't particularly transparent if you arent looking for it.

If your teammate is watching you attack something a bunch of times and then only attacks right at the end just to take the exp and buff, yes, they absolutely know what they are doing.

It's particularly egregious if they are just standing there watching you solo ludicolo or bouffalant, yeah.

To red's point if they are just "teaming up" with you on fighting the jungle they might think it's a good thing to do and not realize how inefficient it is versus taking camps separately, but I've already encountered examples of what ermine is saying where it is definitely not that. They see you fighting a thing, they want the XP, they don't attack until they time the last hit and walk away with your XP.

It wasn't really made clear that you don't share exp. I guess if I paid attention to the level bar I'd notice it, but I never looked that closely. When I see teammates attacking something I simply joined them to help kill it faster.

Yeah basically. I think it's 95% ignorance and 5% malice with the randoms you're getting that do these things. It's a new genre for a lot of people and none of this is explained directly anywhere
