29 y/o (who looks old) Trailer Trash, Matt Martel was arrested in Georgia after he was caught on camera BEATING a 15 y/o Black Kid playing basketball with his cousins and was CUSSING!!

Matt became enraged when he heard the boy cussing like no other and confronted him in his aunt's front yard and told him he shouldn't be swearing when innocent "kids" were around!!

He has since been arrested and charged for assault, battery, and cruelty to children and disorderly conduct

15 y/o Maliyk Sim was the boy attacked that showed footage of him running over to where the kids were playing ad flipped his lid who lectured them on swearing before he grabs the 15 y/o and throws him off camera where a loud bang is heard and then took off his belt and BEAT him with it

Maliyk did not fight back however as he told the news he was in shock but didn't want to get in trouble for fighting

Latika, his mother was inside her sister's home when she saw what was happening and called 5-0 stating she panicked and couldn't believe a fully grown man would think it was OK to beat a child with a belt

She said her son is fully capable of defending himself but didn't want to start a fight with him.

She wished the neighbors would simply call her to spoke to an adult family member about the language and doesn't understand the violence as she's worked in child care for 15 years and has heard kids say crazy things but they don't take off their belts to beat them for it

Latika mentions that family is fairly religious and may not have liked the cussing heard outside and were offended by it

Yeah, wtf? Shouldn't be fucking hitting people. If he felt that the kid was somehow doing something wrong, he should have talked to the parent. If that didn't work and the kid was somehow causing a public disturbance, he should have called the cops to file a complaint.

Honestly talking to a parent, if one was around, would have probably made things worse and calling the cops would have gotten him canceled and blacklisted so the best thing he could have done is ignore it and maybe use it as another tiny piece of motivation to get away from that area.

Ya know if he had just approached them like a normal person and explained that him and his family could hear them so if they could just try to not swear while they were playing, they probably would have listened. Most kids would or theyd go play somewhere else.

Well the stuff these kid's listen to now days is part of the problem plus all that junk that is on social media that doesn't even need to be on it. Got 10 year olds cussin left and right at play grounds and growing up us kids never did that.

You've CLEARLY never had to live near or interact with people like that, talking to them would have made it worse. Trying to talk to a parent would have made it worse since if the kid is cussing in public like that it's almost guaranteed they got it from their parent/guardian and that they probably don't have a problem with language like that.

people like that? Some black kids playing basketball? They arent aliens dude pretty much anyone that you just say hello to and let them know who you are will at least hear you out and if not then oh well you tried and its still no excuse to beat anyone let alone a kid.

Kids usually dont pick up swearing at home, most of them pick it up from their peers. And while its a stereotype, there are indeed plenty of black parents that will lose their shit if they find out their kid is being disrespectful to people.

This. Different times though. I brought it up in another topic but most parents these days don't give af what their children are doing. They too busy living their own lives and should never have had children to begin with. When I was growing up even if the neighbours themselves beat you, if you went and complained about it you'd get a second ass whooping from your actual parents this time. Because they knew you couldn't be up to any good. Back then people were nosy and would report to your parents often either in a positive or negative way. And if it was bad you got your tail cut. No one will bother with that anymore because you can't tell parents anything now. Either they don't care or will actually cuss you out themselves. That's the example these children see at home so they do the same thing.

maybe, personally I wouldnt bother looking for the parents though

Id go say hi and ask them if they could watch their swearing while playing and if that didnt work Id go back inside and just put on some music to listen to. If some parent lost their cool over that then Id let them vent about it, explain that all I did was ask them to swear less, and leave it at that.

Some little 6-7 year old kid was riding around my neighborhood yesterday on a bike yelling the F word at the top of his lungs at a little girl (3-4 years old maybe, I think it was his little sister). I didn't go out and start slapping kids though, jeez.

I have no problem with a dude hitting kids... but there is a racial component to this I don't wanna touch with a 100 foot pole
