To not constantly be stressed and frustrated with the horrible pandemic response of an incompetent president who actively undermines best practices that science would prescribe?

Can we in the USA just take a moment and reflect on how stupid these topics are? And can we in the USA just take a moment and reflect on how stupid these opinions are, particularly when both presidents took THE SAME APPROACH regarding the pandemic? Ultimately all both have done was fund vaccinations and leave distribution logistics to the states, even though Biden promised to spearhead the efforts and have a national plan. And that's not counting the other COVID promises Biden broke because, as I pointed out at the time, most were either impractical or illegal. And can we in the USA just take a moment and reflect on how ridiculous people look when they pretend that there would have been any real difference between how things would have played out with COVID had Trump been re-elected? And can we in the USA just take a moment and reflect on how the SAME PEOPLE making these topics would instead be complaining if we were at the same place under Trump?

And that's not getting into the nonsense outside COVID where the Biden administration pretty frequently puts social issues over science, so you have even more nonsense than you did under Trump.

Not only mentioning that the portion of the population, responsible for hundred of millions of dollars in property damage for months on end, stopped breaking shit and "peacefully" protesting, giving the false idea that things were now more peaceful?

Nah. Things aren't that different, the only difference is that the actual part of the population, filled with insanos and corrupt/biased journalists, stopped causing problems or reporting their fake news. You'd have to be pretty fucking stupid to believe things became better just because CNN, the NY times, the Washing compost, "peaceful" protesters around the US (in blue shit holes), and other assortment of crazies suddenly became tame.

I WISH it were true that Trump just let states do their own thing, and stayed out of it otherwise. Unfortunately, his actions and rhetoric actively made things worse, contributing to disinformation downplaying the severity of the pandemic and necessity for personal action to minimize spread.

His job was so simple. Let experts do their thing, and don't undermine then. So simple. And he couldn't even do that. He would probably be serving a second term right now if not for that incompetence.

And how they don't even notice in coverage when the media makes a bigger deal about the "scandal" of one president getting two scoops of ice cream while everybody else gets one than Biden choosing to keep a dog around who's so far attacked TWO people? Or how the media criticized Ben Carson's appointment because he had no experience with the department he'd been chosen to lead while praising Mayor Pete's appointment to head a department which he also had no experience with prior to the appointment? And how people were outraged by the first while okay with the second because the media told them how to think?

No, YOU'RE demonstrating a gross misunderstanding. Biden and Trump (well, particularly Trump at the end) have handled things in a largely similar manner, and arguably there's only so much you can do anyway. However, because of media coverage, certain people have chosen to interpret those things in very different ways because that's how they were told to think.

Anyone who believes that things are magically better now that Biden is in office is extremely foolish and naive. Besides governors like DeSantis have handled the pandemic far better both from an economic and health standpoint than some on their looney liberal counterparts like Whitmer, Newsome, and Cuomo. All three of those democratic governors have done an absolutely terrible job of handling things and that wasnt Trumps fault.
