Granted, I only know a limited amount about him, and mostly just shit from either CE or PotD that either supports him or tries to knock him so badly that it supports him. Like, people who follow the advice and values his book provides may legitimately see an improvement in some aspects of their lives, then they'll attach part of their ego and identity to his, and then suddenly everything he says is gospel. It's a cult of personality for fragile men. Personally, I think all the benefits you can find in his work can be found elsewhere, and without all the wackiness attached. Basically all of his good ideas are just derived from Jung. For some reason JP gets attached to stoicism a lot despite being an anti-stoic as far as I'm concerned, so I like to recommend actual stoic philosophy to people who have found value in his work.
