ParanoidObsessive 01/10/21 6:48:13 PM #7:	Vice City seems to be the commonly accepted one. My personal bias is always for Liberty City (because I live near NYC and because GTA3 was the first GTA I ever played/enjoyed), but only if it doesn't have the dour tone and clunky mechanics of GTA4. Chicago might make for an interesting setting (even more so if they were willing to jump back to Prohibition Era and play up the gang war angle), though it might not have a robust enough "personality" for most people to really latch on to (same problem with most of the other US cities - only a few are really "iconic"). Washington DC and Vegas might make for interesting settings, but they don't feel like they'd have enough to them to really work with. Considering the memory capacity/processing power of future hardware and the drive to make online as appealing as possible (to sell more microtransactions), the coolest option might be if they have multiple smaller city areas you can travel to (via plane), so you can be in Los Santos in the morning, travel to Vice City to do some drug deals, then fly up to Liberty City to go clubbing that night. That could also allow them to include some of the smaller, less interesting city options as minor support areas for the larger setting. AWinterJ posted... UK. We need more love.
