I'm certain that the historians who write about the early 21st century will have nothing but the most unambiguous vitriol and contempt for the elected republicans' behavior in the wake of the this election. Because it's so transparently obvious what's going on to anyone with half a brain. Unfortunately that doesn't help us at the present moment. People who buy into his shit don't care that more than half the country and almost every other government on earth is supporting Biden's position. Because when you're balls deep in a conspiracy theory lack of evidence and support is just more evidence.

Yooo someone is actually trying it. I think these people could potentially be barred from ever holding office again. That having been said the chances of that happening are pretty low, but they fucking deserve it seditious traitors.

I really hope they do it. The Bible belt has been a tumor hanging from the balls of the united states for a hundred and fifty years. Lincoln was wrong. Should have let them go. Watch them try to have any functioning infrastructure with their backassward ideas of how government should function and the way they would no doubt handle all their foreign policy. Let the rest of us take a god damn step forward finally.

It would be hilarious to see red states freak the hell out after a few years not being supported by all the tax money from blue states. They think theyd be fine because they have a lot of land for agriculture but something like 70% of the US economy comes from blue states and the majority of farming is subsidized by the federal government. Theyd quickly realize that they left the US to form a third world nation.

Yeah, that's the problem.
It's not red state and blue state anymore. It's mostly urban and rural now.
Texas has millions of liberals in its cities. The presence of an overarching federal government is the only thing protecting them from having their rights stripped away. I'm sure conservatives in blue states feel the same way, too.

You can't just sever a state or country from another entity overnight, as the UK is demonstrating by failing to leave the EU. It would take years for them to secede. In the meantime programs would probably pop up where people could move to one side or the other and have their citizenship determined officially before the split happened. People could almost outright swap houses. Obviously that's an oversimplification but there would be time to pick a side. Granted you may want to live in the state you live in for non political reasons like climate, but that couldn't really be helped.

There's plenty of space for new Americans up in the Dakotas. Especially considering the majority of those two states would empty out and head south.

Trump said late last month he would leave the White House if the Electoral College voted for Biden, but has since pressed on with his unprecedented campaign to overturn his defeat, filing without success numerous lawsuits challenging state vote counts.

"Swing States that have found massive VOTER FRAUD, which is all of them, CANNOT LEGALLY CERTIFY these votes as complete & correct without committing a severely punishable crime," he wrote on Twitter.

Oh man I had to talk to my dad yesterday and he was saying "It's not over!" and I was just like "It will be tomorrow" he said no and then must have realized what I meant when I said the electoral college voted for today and said "He's going to win in 2024" and my comment was just "If he had time while fighting court battles" which he interestingly didn't try to argue against.

Damn dude that sucks, I'm lucky the only election deniers in my family are my crazy relatives who live on the other side of the country that I never speak to.

I straight up told my Dad on election day, hours before any results came in that Trump was going to lose, and why he was going to lose, and he was like, "Well, I'm still voting for Trump, but maybe you're right" He just will not acknowledge that that happened. He fully believes the fraud story. =(
