I choose to believe that giants in Skyrim running a space launch program is canon, but if it's a glitch, I choose that one.

Otherwise, the glitched rock in Borderlands that allowed me to kill Crawmerax. Was never able to kill that asshole legitimately.

In Dragon Warrior II for the NES, there's an easily accessible place where you can kill an NPC, get the Staff of Thunder that he drops, sell it for a lot of money, save, reset, and go back to do it all again. I saw it in Nintendo Power and found it very helpful.

I was always a fan of Swordless Link in OoT, just for the sheer range of other glitchy behaviours it enabled once you pulled it off.

Nice, that WOULD be very helpful! That game was impossible lol.

If it counts as a glitch I'll say using the doors to get stuck in and climb up inside the walls in NES Metroid would be mine. You can access some stuff pretty early using this trick (most notably the Varia).

I haven't had a "favorite", per se, but I've had some fun discovering them in DK64 once upon a time. Mostly map glitches and finding some interesting random stuff in the void.

Thematically, I kind of liked the fact that preserving those glitches meant waiting until the moon fell, unable to do anything about it. Like you were dooming yourself and the world around you in exchange for being nigh-omnipotent for the rest of the world's existence.

I remember that.

Though I like stuff like the part in Suikoden II where you can literally push a gate in a massive wall as if it was a moveable object, which allows you to access the part of the world the wall/gate is blocking off, so you basically sequence break your way like 20 hours forward into the game.

Then you just have to quickly recruit two characters, use them to win a single fight (which is hard, but possible) and your whole team will go up multiple levels at once. Then you can basically level grind like 30 levels and 50k gold in about 15 minutes.

Then you can go back and play through the rest of the game in order and pretty much steamroll everything in your path.
