Ive never gone into a normal wal-mart to buy groceries so I really have no idea.

I think the wal-mart branded grocery store near my apartment has a small international aisle but it might just be kosher stuff? I havent been there in like three months so I dont really remember.

Literally 2 people already vouched for what I said, and I said if we have Goya it would either be in the canned food section or taco kit section but I have never seen it personally. The fact you think you know my Walmart while never setting foot in it.

The funny part is... Every time I go on vacation, Myrtle Beach, Greensboro, Orlando, Bradenton, and Honolulu... Every Walmart was different. It is almost like... They aren't all the same. Lmfao.

Like, you argue shit for no reason after the fact over and over.

We were super pissed they didn't have sweet tea in our Walmart for years like they did in Greensboro. They just added it 9 months ago thankfully though lol

Yeah, I think my store is just more spread out. Like there is some Asian things by the rice and ramen section. There is a taco kit and salsa section.

I don't remember a kosher section, but maybe it exists and I glance over it.

There definitely is not an "international section" where there is an assortment of nations food or some shit lol

Since I'm from the Pittsburgh area, I can vouch for Corrik that depending on where you are around there, there's no international aisles in most grocery stores. I had one when I lived in Robinson area but that's the only place I've seen it in that area.

It's also worth noting that there is like no diversity in the Pittsburgh area either. White, black, and anything else is like an immense rarity.

Peace___Frog posted...
I didn't see the offending posts, but yeah basically the only mainstream grocery store with more international options than one foot of shelf space is in an upscale part of town. There are South American and Pan- Asian specialty stores, but they aren't as common. The black neighborhood we've discussed here in the past, the Hill district, doesn't have a grocery store anywhere nearby. A bus ride of at least 15 minutes is needed to get food.

3 Pittsburgh area people vs the liberal from Colorado. Who will be right! Whoever could guess! Lmfao. You need a hobby, Tony.

Oh I forgot. Darn our fucking "whiteness" whatever the fuck that means. Especially coming from a white dude.

It sounds to me like all of this is just coming from semantics because one person worked at a grocery store and one didn't. I'm not saying this to defend corrik. I despise the man. But judging people who grocery shop at Walmart is classist and ignores the reality that it's the only option for many communities. Regardless of corrik's reason for shopping at Walmart, check your privilege that you have the ability to grocery shop at stores that carry better food options.

Chuck Woolery, who said the Corona Virus was a hoax, is now changing his tune after his son contracted COVID19. He's also apparently deleted his twitter account. It's unfortunate he played politics with this virus, much like Trump has, and has led to who knows how many more people getting it -- including people who don't listen to him, but simply people who interact with people who do. It's like the people who claim that hurricanes are fake news and people don't need to evacuate. How can we turn something like this into something political? A decent President would've pulled people together in a time of crisis like this. Even George W. Bush would've handled this pandemic better. The sheer incompetence of the Trump administration is costing people lives, all to play politics that satisfy his ego.

Yes, I'm quite aware that you are wholly uninterested in figuring out what's actually causing COVID outcomes to vary across nations, states, etc. You'd rather just loudly declare it must be "quality of political leadership" even though there is absolutely no evidence for that and tons of examples that easily disprove it.

Per Capita adjusted for area would very likely be more accurate when discussing something that spreads the way in which COVID does.

For example, America accounts for about 3-4% of the population of the world but accounts for around 24% of all deaths. So your per capita numbers are extremely cherrypicked.

New York got it so bad because it was the big landing point for example, but after that they got it under control. Wait on those Florida numbers, they are only getting worse.

First, Belgium is very liberal with what they count as COVID 19 deaths. But even ignoring that -- Belgium has had their death toll under control for a while now, while the US's current death toll is worse per million than Belgium. Their death rate has steadily been under 2 per million each day since the beginning of June. The US on the other hand has had 7.36 Deaths per million as recently as June 26th. The US's number of confirmed cases also keep going up. This pandemic has been lengthened by this administration. There's little doubt about that.

In the last two weeks, US deaths per million have increased by 37. At this rate, even if Belgium experiences zero more deaths, it would take 22 weeks (around mid-January of 2021) for the US to "catch" Belgium in terms of deaths per capita. This also assumes that all of the recent mitigation measures (masks almost everywhere, re-lockdowns by many places, etc.) have zero effect and that US deaths per capita do not improve at all for the next six months.

And yet, they still have the virus under control. While we don't. THAT is a sign of gross incompetence on the part of the Trump administration. While other countries have the virus on the decline, the United States does not. You can compare us to Brazil if you like, or other South American countries that also don't have the virus under control. But then you'd have to admit that as a country we're no better off than a third world country.
