At the end of the 24 hour period, Metal Slug pulls off the upset, winning 13-10 over Resident Evil! Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars Twisted Metal 2 is a fantastic innovative game. Part of me wants to tell you to seek it out and play it immediately. But... it hasn't aged well. And you might be left wondering "wtf are these guys on about??" I still own it, and once in a blue moon I'll pull it out and play through it. The nostalgic rush feels so good. (I was 15 back then, fwiw). A great ensemble of characters and back stories. Everyone's ending scene was entertaining. Such diversity in selectable vehicles. Great battle grounds. Nice weapons. Music kicked arse. 2p co-op with friends. Minion and Dark Tooth are memorable boss fights. Taking refuge underground or in the subway from them, then getting smashed by rolling bombs, then bowled over by a train. Many hidden secret moves and levels were an added bonus too. My personal go-to character was Axel. A man strapped between two giant wheels! Fighting for his life. Much love for Twisted Metal 2. <3 for everyone who voted it. You know what I'm talking about. Taking nothing away from Super Mario RPG. I own that on Super Famicom too. Maybe suss out a quick YouTube video and take a quick look? It's the best in the series. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

TM2 is indeed a fun, innovative game and arguably the best in its series 24 years later (only Black could compare/outdo it). The Antarctica level was nuts. Favorites to use were Axel and Mr. Grimm and most endings were crazy as fuck (notably Spectre and Hammerhead for me).

1) Metal Slug 2) Resident Evil 3) Wave Race 64 4) Destruction Derby 2 5) Shadows of the Empire 6) Waku Waku 7 7) Civilization II 8) Mortal Kombat Trilogy 9) Nights into Dreams 10) Phantasmagoria 2 11) Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego? 12) Logical Journey of the Zoombinis 13) Harvester 14) Balloon-o-Rama 15) Dog on a Stick 16) Magic School Bus Explores Inside the Earth Destruction Derby 2 saves a little face by staying closer to Metal Slug than anyone else, but would still lose one on one with either RE or Wave Race. Nearly the entire bottom half is obscure PC games, and only Carmen and Phantasmagoria escape the LAW fodder section.
