I went with Claude based on a half-remembered memory of something I saw someone say months ago that I may be totally misremembering. Like I dont know what it was that I read, but I had this faint feeling that I was supposed to pick the deers.

I picked the Golden Deer and people say it's the most light-hearted one with the other two being edgy, classist dregs.

I considered the eagles because Id seen Edgelords name come up in Smash discussions before, but the blue boys seemed like a bummer so I was never picking them.

and then i found out your S support doesn't even happen until the game ends or something

like yellow boy looked the best but he doesn't even have claim to a kingdom so i can't pick someone like that

Edelgard first.

Golden Deer is best if you only do one playthrough since their route has the most answers.

I was most interested in Blue Lions, but I purposely chose to save them for a NG+ when I'd have all the free time (little did I know there was plenty of time to do everything on a first playthrough anyway). So I started with Golden Deer, and then I put so much time into it that I never did a second route. But luckily GD seems like the best one if you only care to do one route, so I'm still pleased with my choice.

Yeah i did golden deer, planned to follow it with blue lions and the black eagles, but only got a few chapters into BL and haven't picked it back up

picked Eagles from a combination of factors:
- "oh neat an axe lady lord"
- getting to play as the "evil empire"-equivalent seemed interesting (let's just ignore that Fates happened, lol)
- I had heard from somewhere that it had the most mages (not really, but the ones it does have are great so it's ok)
- Edelgard/Dorothea seemed like more interesting wlw options than Mercedes
no regrets, esp once I found out that BE is the only route that addresses Rhea giving off such "I AM THE SECRET VILLAIN" vibes that even my parents were joking about it whenever she showed up
(all three houses have a good lineup of characters, though, fwiw)

Im pretty surprised by how much I like the characters so far. Theyre still FE characters so theyre a little one-dimensional, but theyve managed to make that one dimension pretty charming.
Like Raphael is always I like eating guy, but they build a bit more personality on top of that one trait which I think Fatess characters were lacking.

I went Blue Lions first.

The characters were the most appealing to me personally. Ended up being my favorite route of the 3 routes I did.

AM>VW>CF for the routes I did. Still need to SS.

I think my favorite support is Sylvain and Dimitri. (specifically their B support) Hilarious and surprisingly plot relevant.

just hit part 2 and I am happy with my decision. Claude is a cool dude and my bro forever.

Demetris chapter 2 redesign is pretty cool though

also I agree that Raphael support with Flayn is really good
