So I've been thinking, if they do more DLC for characters from unrepped series, they will probably add stages to go with them, meaning we will exceed 108. So there would be nothing stopping them from bringing back some of the last few missing stages. Here's what we are still missing:
Planet Zebes (N64) Sector Z (N64) Icicle Mountain (Melee) Mute City (Melee) Mushroom Kingdom (Melee) Poke Floats (Melee) Flat Zone (Melee) Rumble Falls (Brawl) Flat Zone 2 (Brawl) Pictochat (Brawl) Rainbow Road (3DS) Pac-Maze (3DS) Woolly World (Wii U) Jungle Hijinks (Wii U) Pyrosphere (Wii U) Orbital Gate Assault (Wii U) Miiverse (Wii U/3DS) The bolded ones are the ones I think ought to be brought back as they have no "replacement" stage already in and aren't either absurdly hated, literally made useless by the closure of Miiverse, or had their biggest draw turned into a playable character. --- darkx ... I think most of those were probably left out for a reason, maybe stage morph or 8 player smash not really working on them. I doubt well see any come back.

Orbital Gate and Rainbow Road were probably because they had trouble porting the level backgrounds. Rainbow Road was a straight port from MK7, and Sakurai said it took months to make the background for Orbital Gate Assault.

Pac-Maze had a gimmick where when the ghosts turn blue and only the player who got the power pellet could see them on their 3DS and the were still normal color to other players (at least that's how I think it went)
