Syndra's total pandering to my tastes, but unlike a lot of league champions they go totally over the top about it and it actually works for me. So yeah she might be my favorite too. Her only weakness is her in game default splash art is pretty terrible. But like, the base design is good as your fanart shows. And yeah I'd totally have bought her star guardian skin if I hadn't boycotted buying League Skins and if I still played the game more than once every few months

Tahm Kench


The River King is apparently a demon with no particular design base, which I think actually puts him into a fairly unique and cool category. His face almost looks like that of a shark, but his body is more like that of a frog, although even to say like a frog isn't very close. Maybe some kind of catfish with arms and legs. I'm generally not a huge fan of such big-boned characters but overall I think his design has the potential to be cool. I read a little bit about him to see what he's about and I listened to a few of his quotes -- he has literally the exact voice that I would expect him to have.

Eh, throw another high ranking Demon into the pile.

Taliyah


For some reason this character reminds me of that vaguely similar art style that a bunch of cartoons all started using after Steven Universe became popular. Although she is roughly drawn in the same style as other League of Legends characters, her big round nose and generally soft featureless face really give that impression that she walked off the set of some cartoon network show and was hastily redrawn in a new style.

She's like an earthbender or something which only furthers my theory. Her design is overall on the good side more than the bad side, although I don't feel like it's too strongly great or anything either. Plus the fact that she looks a bit young makes me like her less. Young characters are pretty 'whatever' to me normally in stuff like this where the majority of my feelings toward them are based purely on design... and I don't particularly like young-looking characters.

Talon, THE BLADE'S SHADOW. Speaking of walking right off of another set this guy legitimately is directly taken from some Assassin's Creed fanfiction. No idea honestly how far back the 'guy in dark hooded clothes with hand blades' trope goes but I'll lazily attribute it to that because research is hard.

Honestly this is the kind of design I would have thought was awesome when I was fifteen. I am not fifteen anymore. None of this means that he's bad per se, and he'll probably rank better than some of the actively bad designs, but I certainly don't think he's any good. Generic/mediocre at best. The funniest thing to me is that a number of his splash arts are just variations of him drawn as different edgelord archetypes.

Taric


Something about this guy's face really annoys me, so let's get that out of the way first. Earlier on I talked about how a lot of male character designs tend to make them look unrealistically buff to the point where it looks bad; the shield of valoran is a good example of a fit looking dude with wide shoulders that actually looks normal and realistic, so good job on that aspect of his design. Still, his face pisses me off.

I can't put this dollar store romance novel character any higher than like, maybe the top end of the bottom section of the rankings. Though, granted, with the fact that we're over 100 characters now, that section has gotten pretty large by its own rights.

New(ish, given how long ago the rework actually was now...) Taric is meh because he doesn't play nearly as well as a solo lane (or Jungle, when I was feeling especially bold) tank.

I don't think anyone left will top Syndra in your list.

Teemo


So the space behind where I live is bordered by this chain link fence that goes all the way around the property. The fence isn't maintained particularly well and there's a small section of wooded grounds on the other side. There's a bunch of squirrels that live in and around here, and since the bottom of the fence is ripped open in many spots they are known for slipping under the fence to get back and forth. Actually, I don't know why they don't just climb over it, but whatever.

Anyway yesterday I was running around the back side of this area and there was a squirrel in my path. I guess because he saw me running toward him he got scared and panicked. He ran toward one of the gaps in the fence. He missed. He slammed headfirst right into the chain fence... flopped around on the ground, and then crawled underneath through the hole.

It's so hard for me to imagine Teemo as being remotely effective in combat.

Overall cool, although I'm not really a giant fan of the whole flaming skull thing. It seems really impractical. Like where is the fuel for that fire coming from? What does his nervous system look like, exactly, that it's constantly wreathed in flame and doesn't seem to be impeded at all? Do the flames go out when he sleeps? But his skull is just floating inside a bunch of fire. So if the fire goes out does his head still float? Or does he have to set it down somewhere nearby and hope he doesn't lose it. If he takes his head off how does he find it at again? Can he see without it? His alt skins seem pretty lazy. All of them look very similar to his base design with the most minor cosmetic changes (usually just minor adjustments of colors)

Too many Yordles. I feel like I've ranked this character 10 times already. I don't have anything else to say about it. I will say I went to listen to her quotes and they sound nothing like her appearance. Or, rather, I guess I expected her to have a high pitched annoying as fuck cartoon voice... was surprised that she has a normal, decent sounding voice. Guns are also cool if you're wondering why she's above some of the other yordle trash.

Also oh god I can't believe I'm gonna say this but I think the design on her ears is pretty cool.

Trundle


King of the trolls has a fairly good design. Trolls are awesome, although he is a particularly ugly one. He has some cool and funny skins. Honestly, looking over this topic, I haven't liked most of Riot's designs to make skins that broke flavor too much, but stuff like Trundle with a baseball uniform and bat is actually great to me, so he does manage to escape that potentially negative pitfall. He's not really great or terrible so I don't have much else to say about him. His good alternate splash arts will likely help his ranking a bit, but there's only so far it can take him.

At the end of the day he's just a blue caveman with a red nose.

First of all fuck whoever came up with this guy's name. Secondly, this wannabe beowulf has a really grating voice that just sounds way too forced and poorly acted. The fact that I started listening to voice lines in the later half is definitely gonna unfairly affect some characters rankings based on who sounds like a badly acted cartoon character and who sounds like a real person.

I could barely even find any options for art on this guy aside from his ingame art, because apparently he sucks enough that no one else has bothered to draw or cosplay him. Okay he's not THAT bad but he's honestly worse than all of the other generic badass dudes and they have ranked fairly low as a whole.

Anyway, lastly, his name should be around 9 letters shorter which is something you should never have to say in a character review. Oh and also I'd love to see beowulf kick this guy's ass.

Tryndamere was actually one of the most popular characters in the game. It was rare not to see one on every match.

The idea that teemo shouldn't be effective in combat is probably shared by us all. That's one of the reasons everyone wants to kill him and when the dust settles Teemo grins among the corpses of his hunters with the smirk of Satan himself.

Teemo is obnoxiously effective in 1v1 combat, especially if he can set up his territory with the mushrooms first.

He's hilariously ineffective in 5v5 fights though.
