Tumblr allows you to create your own library and nurture your own database in ways reddit isn't exactly built quite as effectively for. Scrolling down a feed is a lot easier and saving whatever you like while following individual users who put out the content of your choice is a lot less cumbersome than the reddit alternative. Admittedly I'm not well-versed on this so maybe porn reddit is the shit, but I have talked to a whole bunch of people whose only porn outlet is tumblr due to the highly customizable nature of it. edit.
