Kuja's numbers speak for themselves - only five other characters have as many top tens overall as Kuja had in his first eight contests. Since then, he's cooled off a fair bit, with only one more top ten in the next eleven. This is actually Kuja's worst performance by STATS at 41.00%, just narrowly edging out CXIII (41.33%). Kuja's STATS are still extremely good, but this does do a bit of a number on them - not only does he drop from 80.71% to 78.62%, he loses his position as the highest-ranking FFIX character for the first time by dropping past Zidane into 5th.

Probably, so long as you and v_charon aren't ever, ah... occupied at the start of a new round and miss out on valuable saves for your regulars.

Goes back to what I was saying yesterday about FF7 fans being strange. Reno was the first winner from the game, and it went without another winner for many, many years until Zack did it by getting the "ZackFAQs"/black haired Cloud boost. Cloud's win was... unsavory. It's a shame he didn't get the win the year in which he actually wasn't pushed by one of the worst people on the board, and not someone that really ever participated in this. It would be like pushing Tifa to win now to "give Vlado the win". Who would ever want to? As much as I love Tifa... I mean, who could get behind this?

I dunno, really I just want to blame Cissnei for whatever reason. She's had runs before already and is probably ahead of many of the main characters in stats as it is. I have a feeling she's topped out but for whatever reason these runs always continue. It sucks that when characters like Reeve made the contest they got immediately booted and have never returned. Even Reno was booted and no one even cares to attempt to nominate him back in; it's strange.

It's not really targeting, I mean I don't care, I just think FF7 is the strangest game in terms of SMFFFC. Reno was the first non-playable character to win this. I feel like 7's other two wins are also a little on the odd side too. A lot of wins feel fairly organic in this contest; they grow over time, and eventually the win comes. I would say that's true for at least half the winners or so at least, since you have to discount the first couple of contests and the big rally years.

Reno was a fad, he really doesnt have any inherent strength in this contest. Very few of the bit characters in any of the games do, thats just how it is.

She literally finished 20th in Zack's year and per GMUN's stats is averaging 26% in the rest, so "runs" is probably pushing it.

I know I'm not one to talk since this is the first time I actively participate in this contest so I can't appreciate the lore and history of it from your & other long-time regulars' perspectives, all I can do is support my favs and I honestly consider her to be the best part of Crisis Core (other than the whole ending sequence). Possibly my #1 FF waifu. She'll probably get eliminated some day I'm out for dinner or at the movies or something... but I'll keep doing my small part in the meantime.

Like, I was saving Cloud ever round including the round he was eliminated too, which I guess is another benefit of my never participating before, I figure everyone else abandoned him since he won last year. Still a favourite. I did run into that same issue in the Save My Anime contest, heh...

If Doomtrain can finish 3rd, anything's possible!
