Well XV should have been Cloud's year, but instead there was some conspired group effort to reward Shoe with a Rydia win because, "he'd been trying for so long" or something if I remember right. Now Shoe rarely even appears here so good thing that happened huh?

Mind you Locke faced Vivi, not Cloud, but that just goes to show you that the character that really deserves the W often gets the L for dum dum reasons beyond all control.

Some people pushed the help Shoe narrative for brownie points or whathaveyou and no one like argued with them cause that'd be dickish.

I think most people just liked Rydia and wanted to capitalize on her momentum there though.

Feel free to tell me the actual reasoning because clearly I wasn't the only one under this impression. I know YOU'RE a legitimate IV fan but it seems like the vast majority of B8 doesn't care for it outside of Cecil. VII and Cloud on the other hand well I don't need to tell you B8's history with him.
