Really hoping Mech Paladin can be a thing because the legendary spell seems like a lot of fun and in-line with what makes a deck strong. Midrange Mechs?

Agree.

Whether one liked or disliked Brode, he was a showman and a salesman. Whalen did alright in the prerecorded stuff, but off the cuff, live stuff....not so much. Maybe he'll grow into it.

I got golden paladin which means I can now play like decks i feel Im good at (mainly odd rogue).

The classes I dont have in gold are warrior, shaman, Druid, and hunter. Hunter is the closest but Id have to comit too much dust into it.

I mean, I was lucky to live in a town with one of the best coffee shops in the country, and I would wholeheartedly agree that Starbucks is probably the best option in many areas, but that being the truth in all situations, particularly when considering locavore towns, is just plain dumb. Like, actually dumber than thinking RNG has no effect in Hearthstone.

2 Primordial Drakes
2 Dragon's Fury

In the first half of his deck. Those weren't RNG'd either; he just had them. Just, how...?

Meanwhile, in Wild, just hoping Mech Paladin doesn't turn out to be even stronger than odd pally is right now. Mechwarper, Minibot, Shredder, plus that new 1 drop and magnetic cards seem like they're gonna tear up ladder.

I just had someone add me after a game for the first time in a long time, and we had a nice chat about the game, and I got invited to join a group of people who are all getting into HotS at the same time.

Good to be reminded not everything on the internet has to be toxic!

The game was epic, though. In the end I was staring down a full board, at 5 HP, and pulled the literal only possible zombeast that could save me. Good ol' Bittertide Hydra + Stonetusk Boar for exact lethal.

It's rare for me to get a request, but if it's a good game I'll usually accept. Had a recent game vs Hunter, had him down to 1 HP, FLJaina in effect, I battled back from single digit HP and ran out of cards. Final turn, he's at 1 HP, and has to build a life steal beast or it's over. Of course, he gets the life steal beast. But it was a good game (took 20 minutes), back and forth, well played by both sides. After a game like that, I have no issue sending or accepting a request.

Conversely, if I'm say, Odd Rogue, and roll someone turn 7, I already know what the friend request is about and am not accepting.

Then take out keysmith and put in counterspell if you want it so often.

Thats like completely unneeded. Zoo is already favored versus paladin and paladins play rate has also dropped off significantly. I hit gold paladin recently and since I stopped playing it my rank went from like 3500 to 475

Hellfire isnt a bad card.

Its only dead if youre winning. If youre behind, you get the board back. Plus, 3 damage reach.

I found myself with spare time today so I hit rank 5 with egg hunter.

Came a game from rank 4, but then I had a skid of absurd matches to go back down to the beginning of rank 5, but oh well.

Best Ive ever done. To get there I had to beat a rogue that went double blink fox into double molten reflection, which is so fucking dumb. Baku the minion was copied with one of those moltens, too.

I've got full life and my opponent is at 5, but his board is N'zoth/Sylvanas/Sylvanas/Ragnaros/Ragnaros/Statue and I have nothing but a lonely Paladin secret. He's already attacked and cleared my board with both Sylvanas, stealing my Rag, and he's out of mana so attacking with N'zoth and Obsidian Statue is the only thing left for him to do. He attacks with N'zoth first...

Maybe I'm forgetting, but I think this is the first time I've ever won a game with that card. Feels pretty good.

Edit: Karma immediately kicked my ass, my opening hand in the next game is Lich King, Ragnaros, Ragnaros 2.0 and Deathwing. Topdecking from turn one...
