In Shido's palace, just learned about all of the VIPs, one is called "the Cleaner." Calling it now that this is Shido's cognition of Akechi, who cleans up loose ends or something. It'd be so great if we meet fake Akechi and then realize that it's real Akechi who expected us to come here or something.

Heads-up, Shido's Palace is big and kind of tedious IMO. So be ready for that I guess.

Yeah, you can do it whenever.

With Adhesives you can likely clear Shido's Palace in a day.

Also, if you can do so, I highly recommend fusing Trumpeter. Debilitate is stupid good.

Akechi seems to be piecing together what happened. Interesting. I'd thought his detective shtick was fake, since he admitted it's just a character he invented and that he uses his Metaverse powers to actually do stuff, but I guess he's actually still a good detective.

of course I don't know that any half-Japanese person would be likely to have that feature

Yes

It's actually one of the more frustrating/unintuitive achivements unless you intentionally force it it at the very start of the game, too. I've legitimately never heard of it happening spontaneously to somebody after Kamoshida's Palace

Currently trying to find a way to the IT guy's cabin. I don't know where it is. I can see a vent on the side deck, but no one will let me use it yet, and I don't really know where I'm going.

If you want to know the answer to that: You're in the right area. On the side deck near the vent, head towards the railing/exterior and you can now jump up on top of things. Use Third Eye if you're still having trouble since it'll show you the spot you can jump from.

I like how they did so every letter of introduction person had a little scene where a party member shows off his or her stuff, but in the end none of it matters because you just end up fighting them anyway.

I will freely admit that I didn't see this coming. I was wondering about Akechi's motive because he obviously didn't care about Shido's plans for being prime minister, but this genuinely took me by surprise in a good way. I didn't so much like Akechi's breakdown and crazy rambling, though. I liked him better as just a clever lying jerk.

I'm still in the middle of the fight, by the way. He just revealed Loki. Full disclosure: I expected his second persona to be King Arthur. Obviously I was wrong about that, too.

He's the main character.

There's not a real answer, honestly. The ability to use multiple personas is called the "wild card" in Persona and the main character just gets it cuz.

Finished everything except the treasure. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to finishing Shido's Palace early or late? If I do it tomorrow, will I still be able to do more stuff on subsequent days?

Also, I'm making some generically powerful personas and fusing the things that are only like level 45 and have low stats. Thank God I can make personas above my own level now.

Yeah, you're fine if you finish the Palace early.

You will not be able to advance any party member confidants while the option to send the calling card is active.

There is no time skip after you finish the Palace, so you can do still do things after beating it.
