I always think about switching. But I play a few games that I would want to lose my data on(or the game completely) just for a new phone. Plus, I always seem to have trouble getting androids to work properly for me...

The pixel 2 phones have the best clean Android OS and even the default launcher is great to use. They also have the very best camera ever to come to a mobile device: even better than any iPhone camera. The 2 XL has crazy good battery life, normal pixel 2 is pretty average. Google is also giving pixel users 3 years of unlimited cloud photo storage and 2 years of unlimited cloud video storage.

The actual hardware of Samsung devices is nicer (other than the camera). Beautiful screens and expandable memory. but personally I can't stand their bloatware or Bixby and I won't get one of their phones.

I value battery, camera quality, and usability so the Pixel 2 line was the right one for me.

You don't wanna be the first one to get an update anyway. Gives them time to fix the stupid shit before it gets to you.

I have been a Motorola person for nearly 12 years now and I love their phones. Just make sure you get one with a removable battery, they have a tenancy to lock the batteries up on the Droid line.

I owned an HG and a Samsung (first gen galaxy) for a while, I hated them.

the last three iphones i had always get gimped after the 2 year point. like, they work perfectly fine, then you get the update, and your phone sucks all of a sudden. it's infuriating, and i've had enough, ok?

i tried to avoid the update like the plague last year, yet somehow i woke up one morning and just had it... and no surprise, my phone ran slow and became a battery leech, just like always, ok?

Depends on what you want out of your phone.

Personally, I like water proofing and a mircoSD card slot.

A removable battery is becoming less and less common but it's a good option if you want to replace your battery 1/2 way through the life span of the phone to keep the charge up.

If you want a phone with all the bells and whistles and don't mind paying it's usually Samsung's phone.

did some research 2 years ago and got the LG 4G LTE Optimus Zone 3 from Verizon. I paid $65 for the phone, and $45 a month for unlimited stuff. still pay about $44 a month, but the lovely bit is that there's no contract for anything. I have a screen cover and case for it, even misplaced it a few times (got it back tho), and it has served me quite well :D

look around on the Verizon website, and see if there's anything similar. I highly recommend :)

Yeah. If you give you phone permission, it will do it between 2am-4am if the phone is charging. You gotta watch out for that. I don't update because the updates make the older phones slower...

Dude, the Galaxy s8+ cqn expand up to 256gb, or even 2tb if you can find a card.

Removable batteries are a thing of the past for a few reasons

1. A truly waterproof/high water resilient phone cant have a removable back, or even being pulling out batteries as it beaks/wears water seals.

2. Non OEM batteries can be very dangerous, and most people buy a non OEM when buying replacement batteries cause they can be up to 75% cheaper (sometimes more then that)

3. People like a sleeker look on their phones, easier to do as a one body phone.

You want to get a really good deal, go to your grocery and browse the prepaid. Once you find a good plan (which will probably be better than any of the main carriers) Google a phone that will work with that SIM card.

I forget the model of my phone, but it's a really nice $200 phone and I pay $7-10 a month for my service.

I've got a 128 gb micro SD card and it's more storage than I'll ever use.

Do not get that. My fiance and I both had the Moto G4, and both of them stopped receiving cell signal. When we researched the problem, we found out that it's a pretty common problem, but Motorola's solution to it is go and get another problem. Fuck Motorola, they became a piece of shit company once Google sold them to Lenovo.
