I dunno what to focus on in this event.
Should I prioritize opening doors/floors or grinding the already open stages for items to get more CEs?

you prioritize whatever it takes to clear all the missions, and you're gonna need 3 or 4 of each CE for that

Yeah the requirements for the missions are in the game so you can look those up and do them.

At what point do the appearance CEs from the shop become important to use? They don't feel like they're really influencing anything on the earlier missions.

I've been using them on supports as I move through the levels. Even a 25% chance seems to spawn at least one or two more enemies, which reduces the grind a good deal. I imagine they are more useful when you're trying for the defeat 200 enemy quests, but they're useful for drops early on as well.

Also I guess the appearance rate stuff is better? Now I feel silly for using any of my friend points (I did get lucky at least-- only used like 20k to get 4 of em) on the mineral water drops.

Optimally, you should always have four of them equipped. I've been using them right from the start. Using four doubles the amount of enemies you face.

(note: they don't reduce appearance of other enemies. they just make you encounter more enemies at a time)

Ascended Shiki once woo. Got a full team of CEs now at least. Probably gonna take a couple more floors for this event to not be super easy enemy wise. Herc just fucking destroys everything.

Finally got best girl to 10/10/10. Now if I could just get my hands on 3 more copies. . .

I got permanent Shiki last night and am doing skeleton farming now, I'm actually wondering if the higher floors have any extra story bits.

been grinding the event all day, enjoying the story. pretty close to permanently getting her, already ascended twice and have her ready for a third time. so much EXP is given, it's nice.

The first movie definitely just drops you in to the world. The next one makes much more of an attempt to bring you up to speed on who people are and what's going on.

...at least it gets you black cats. granted, you need to unlock 60 quests to get to that so i hope you've been with Shiki in the party so her bond level can go up! the event is such a grindfest but almost done with the worst of it, i think.

This event actually doesn't feel remotely as grindy as some of the other ones we've had to me. Like yeah it's a lot to do but there's still 9 days left. That's more than a week left and I'm already at 71 missions cleared and just skill gems left in the shop. This actually might be the first event I finish early!

I don't know about how grindy it actually is but it definitely feels like less of one than most of them have to me. Have had no issues just playing it so far.

Possible not using the guide and just winging what to do based on need has helped too.

Yeah, I believe I've used 7 plus I got a level-up. I read that apparently starting with this event you usually get enough apples per event that you don't need to sweat using them liberally, so I just set a personal rule to never drop below 100 and beyond that I'm not worrying about using them when I want.

Haha yeah, I've been incredibly strict about minimizing their use up to this point, but it seems like I really didn't have to go that far. If anything I probably should have burned a bunch more of them during Christmas - the stuff I got from there would probably benefit me more than an apple mountain would!

Yeah over 100 after a good number of grind heavy events seems high.

I hoarded them early like you too, but the game seems to be pretty good about handing out Apples, so I've been using a bunch of them.

I still have over 100 Gold apples too and I did a lot of Saber Wars and Valentines grinding

I just beat 100 Base Models, but the mission to beat 200 didnt show up.

It won't show up until you've beaten 604 and unlocked the 7th floor, but it'll still track your progress.

You'll need to beat the 20 rapunzel mission (which means getting to the parking lot) before you can beat 604 to unlock that mission

Yeah your goal for now should be to complete 60 missions to unlock the parking lot.

Im at 57 right now with a level up like 1-2 stage clears away. I have all the shop CEs aside from 3 copies of the one that needs 100 Black Cats.

I have the opposite problem. I'm trying to keep my supply of gold apples empty and still have 31 of em.

I think practically speaking bronzes and silvers are the better ones to hoard because you don't have to spend all the stamina they give to keep your bar empty. Burning 130 stamina can take some time.

I actually had all the materials to get Assassin Shikis 1st skill to lv10. I guess thats what happens when you only have 1 other Assassin Servant worth anything lol. Cant wait to be able to Ascend Shiki again. Did anybody here get the Saber Shiki? I hear I might need a Friend one to NP the boss of one of the stages so a non-friend one is worthless since no NP use

Assassin Shiki's NP is just as good as Saber Shiki's. I'll switch my Support Assassin to Shiki now.

Ive been debating whether or not I should pull on the Friend banner more to get one or more of the 3* event CEs, but I seem to be doing fine without them.

Random tip for anyone using the guide

Guide is dumb and doesn't recommend room 401 to get a lot of your skeletons rather than just going with 603. 401 gives you 6 Living Corpses if you've got +100% living corpse rate, which is only 2 less than 101. (Most efficient way to farm this is a 2xMLB Skeleton/Corpse with 4x of the one of the two you didn't get with MLBs-- dump the bonus drop CEs)

But the corpses drop 2 more ice creams base each, plus you get a ton of skeletons, plus you get male berserker kills in Darius

Definitely way better than doing 603 -> 101.
