Since 90% of the world's Fun is made on those two places.

I'm glad China already said they will only defend them if they are attacked first.

If NK attacks someone their government should be punished and the citizens should be freed.

If they use a nuke, it'll be on Seoul and we all know it.

If they nuked any other country other than South Korea, it's looking like their strategic best choice (if massive damage is their priority) would be Vancouver, BC, given that the USA publicly admitted the other day that they would not intercept any missiles directed towards Canada, and the Canadian Armed Forces are not well enough equipped to intercept a missile. Japan, however, is under very capable US missile defence.

Canada was one of the more active participants in the Korean War, after SK, USA, and the UK.

It would still be highly unlikely for NK to attack Canada, but of all non-South Korean targets, it would have the greatest chance of being a "success" for them. If NK ever launches a nuke, they are absolutely definitely aiming for South Korea.

I doubt it. Seoul is already targeted with enormous amounts of conventional artillery that would level the city in a second. It would be in a strategically unimportant place, possibly one with zero military troops or even civilians, that still belongs to the US or Japan. It would not be a big dramatic place, but one picked simply to test American resolve.

They could loophole with attacking Canada, since technically it's not an attack on the US (Even though radiation/fallout etc would affect us).

Don't think it would matter, but yeah, attack mexico/canada near our border and technically you have not attacked the US yet.

North koreas best option would be to just not attack anyone, they have china ready to defend them if they get attacked and as long as they don't do anything so big that the rest of the world would forfeit seoul for it they are fairly safe. If they were to attack someone on their own however, their best options would be china or japan.

North Korea doesn't have the guts to start a war, and that's because it'd end the regime in a matter of weeks... If they had to fire on the west coast, Oregon is probably the best target (for us) because nobody lives there.

Plus NK still probably thinks it could conquer the South and re-incorporate it to "unify" Korea, and nuclear fallout would make that more difficult for an invading force.
And they still hold a grudge against Japan for previous wars and invasions (but oddly, never a grudge against China for its invasions and meddling of Korea in the past, fancy that...)
And Japan's the country they keep launching missiles over and just this week said should be sunk into the ocean.

I'm really worried for Japan. I have no idea how they're not freaking out about it right now. If i were in Japan, I'd be demanding the gov't do a massive military build-up immediately. Both to try and shoot down missiles (ideally before they even get near Japan) and to launch a devastating counter-attack if NK did attack. U.S. isn't going to do shit to help unless a base of ours in Japan is directly attacked, unfortunately.

What I find the most laughable is that Kim literally vowed to see his nuclear ambitions are met regardless of any sanctions. What's up next? South Korea and America talking about more sanctions. Some fucking geniuses over here... It's a case of accepting the DPRK possessing nuclear weapons and ICMBs or removing them through force. Any other approach is stupid and makes everyone involved look ridiculous.

The only real sanctions that are going to matter are Chinese ones. They are basically the lifeline of NK, if China doesn't stop them, no one will. Russia only takes slave labour from NK and already is floundering economically.

Nothing in those articles disproves my statement. Basically all they say is that the North would lose any war (which is what anyone with a brain stem would admit, and even North Korea would realize this is the case, which is why there would be no reason to withdraw artillery back to a safe point which wouldn't exist).

I'm not that savvy when it comes to military weapons but conventional artillery are just explosive shells, aren't they? What would actually intercept a slug of metal loaded with explosives?

There are lasers and rail guns which can do it. Problem is that if they decide to do an "all out" attack then they aren't going to be able to shoot them all down. They are really only designed to take them out one at a time.
