Lol please stop. There is no excuse for such ignorance in this day and age when we have the Internet and all of the knowledge in the world at our fingertips. It's clear that he knew what the word was because he apologized RIGHT AFTER... and to use cultural ignorance is a obvious scapegoat to cover your ass, so don't even with that shit

When white people are treated as slavers world wide, associated issues traverse too.

There's also the obvious part that malice is malicious, you can't say something meant to be shitty knowing what it means and just handwave it away with cultural boundaries. Rape is accepted in many cultures but we don't just accept that as fine.

I've been trying a few. ROT13 got me nothing and it's definitely not a simple Caesar cipher. I was gonna start running it through some phonetic tests, like how "we" is phonetically backwards from "you" (try saying them alternatingly and you'll feel the rhythm).

Look, I cuss all the time, including the use of that word. What are curse words anyway? Words we're not supposed to say.

But when I do, I never actually use it as a negative connotation against black people in general. In fact I'd never call anyone black that word, online or not, because I just don't mean it that way. I usually use it for filthy skinny white boys, lol. It is what it is. So I can appreciate with Pewdiepie is just slipped out and he didn't mean it in a racist way, just as a curse word. Of course, he was livestreaming himself and has a fanbase of millions, so he needs to be far more careful than I would.

While you are correct that he should know about how bad the word is in NA, which he does seeing that he said excuse directly after, it is not all black and white.
He grew up in a culture where the N-word wasnt offensive until recently.
Chokladboll is a popular unbaked pastry which is basically small black oatmeal balls rolled in shredded coconut. The old name was N-word balls. Heck, Donald Ducks Cooking book even called them N-word balls.
Mintkisses are a confectionery that is popular at Christmas, which old name is N-word kisses.
Pippi Longstocking is a popular childbook character that is even known in the states. Her father was a sailor that shipwrecked on some African island and the natives made him a chief, thereby Pippi called him a N-word Chief.
You can still find Tintin in the Congo in libraries.
I can think of multiple big movies where the word is used. I can think of one movie where a black team of basketball players holds a N-word ball and asks a nervous father what they call it.
And nobody was offended. No protests, no news reports, no letters to the editor, no online petitions, no talk about banning something, nothing at all. If a black person was asked about what they thought about the N-word ball name, they just laughed at it.
It wasnt until white SJWs whined in the middle of 2000 that it started to change. People that grew up with the N-word balls name still use them, simply because it wasnt offensive when they were young and it is like giving the finger to SJWs.
In Sweden, the n-word simply meant a dark-skinned person on pair or close to the color of native Africans. It wasnt offensive. If you wanted an offensive word, then you used the word "blatte", which is basically "wog".
That is the culture that he grew up with.
