Abilities

"MAKE MY MONSTER GROOOOOOOOW!" (Start of Battle) - Rita Repulsa has an obvious solution to any problem. Take monster, throw staff, make monster grow to roughly the size of a Megazord, profit. She may put this skill to use on her attached merc every three weeks, causing their upkeep to change to 7 for that week for the purposes of tiers. In exchange, the merc will begin the battle at exactly 130 feet tall, with their proportions and weapons matching their newfound size. This ability may only be used on Low or Mid tier mercs.

Upgrades

Rita may use Grow on a High tier merc, but the strain will give her a headache and injure the Merc in question for a week in addition to the usual recharge.

A list of good 'upper bound' 7s off the top of my head, BTW:

-Some Kamen Rider (probably a low end one, not somebody like Kuuga who can explode the planet)
-Cid/Rainmaker from Looper
-Quicksilver from X-Men (maybe a very high 6, but probably a 7 due to severe speedblitz hax)
-One of the stronger Transformers (if I am recalling their upper bound properly)
-Ben 10 with a lot of his stronger forms but not the reality warping one

Generally if somebody can city bust with a fast attack they are too strong for Mercs, at least as non-ability mercs (we give Id and Dark Seraphim a pass cause they're once every five weeks and hosable). Price upkeeps accordingly.

Quicksilver would be cool, especially since the X-Men films seem to display how his abilities work pretty well. I'd hesitate to call him a 7 though because he's totally a glass cannon (albeit a VERY fast cannon) and he's also an immature teenager.

Rainmaker is interesting, although I believe he only had like one scene where he actually used his ability, if I'm correct? Are you thinking him as a child?

Thing about Quicksilver is that he was moshing Apocalypse until the latter pulled out some bullshit 'time perception alter' hax to beat him. Yeah Quicksilver is immature but he's so fast that most people are gonna have a really bad time fighting him. It's like if Sonic had realistic physics and a shot at serious respect.

Only 1 Star Wars merc and only 1 LotR support. Those 2 series alone could give us a solid handful of 4-6s.

Flint Marko (Spider-Man 3)
Villainous/Neutral Male Superhuman
7/week

Flint Marko aka The Sandman is as he appears in the final fight of Spider-Man 3, with access to as much sand as he had in that fight. He may however shapeshift back into human form if he chooses to.

Abilities

I'm Not a Bad Person, I Just Have Bad Luck (Passive) - If an alignment-specific ability targets Sandman, he simultaneously counts as both a Neutral and Villainous merc.

I Didn't Choose To Be This (Peacetime) - Flint Marko was once just a common man before an accident turned him into something terrible. Once every 3 weeks, he may choose to undo his misfortune, and the misfortune of someone else who was similarly unlucky. This week, Sandman will return to the Particle Accelerator and somehow reverse the experiment giving him his powers. Additionally, he may bring another pre-selected superhuman with him. Both Flint Marko and the selected merc will have their classifications changed to human and will have all of their supernatural powers removed.

Upgrades

Ability Upgrade:
Flint Marko may make a complete turn around. He may choose his alignment (Heroic/Neutral/Villainous) during Peacetime of each week. If it is not chosen, it will default to Villainous.

New Ability:
Remember Ben Parker? (Start of Battle) - Once every three weeks, a pre-selected enemy Heroic merc will suddenly recognize Flint Marko, conveniently remembering that one time he shot their uncle in cold blood. This week, the Heroic merc will abandon any other team plans, focusing all of their energy on killing Sandman and disregarding anyone else in the match.

Terrain

Particle Accelerator - A large, metal dome in the ground in the middle of nowhere where secret experiments were once performed, including Flint Marko's initial transformation. The accelerator is filled with sand, and has long since been abandoned.

I would firmly take Legolas over anyone in the 2 squad (besides the Truck, the Truck is well armored) just due to Improbable Aiming Skill. Depends on the terrain, it's feasible like, Indy could shoot him if it's out in the open, but otherwise he probably just draws and plucks faster than anyone's going to catch up

Legolas beats James Bond more often than not imo. Better params and a Legolashax arrow can kill a dude just as well as a bullet

Bond probably marginally more useful in a fight due to gadgets.

I'd see him beating Goodnight, Rick depending on if he has a good helper or one of the jokes, possibly Ash. His ceiling feels like "Do you have a gun faster than him so you don't have to wade into range while he's filling you full of arrows? Good, you're okay"

In the movie he's basically a kaiju that tanks explosions and regenerates limbs and he's only defeated because he decides he doesn't want to be a bad guy anymore and stops destroying the city

Sam and Dean are monster hunters. Humans with guns and other weapons (but can have powers depending when in the show you pull feats from), but I can envision them getting a Geralt-like ability of learning the lore/strategies/weaknesses of non-human enemies. They also have special weapons that could make for decent abilities, but I would see them as 2/week mercs.

Also pulling from Supernatural there's Castiel, not sure where I would put him on the power scale but probably around 5/week considering normal weaponry has no effect on him.

Jesse Custer is probably off the table. He's a solid three when it comes to combat but his voice of god is broken, and without that he's just a guy who's kind of good at fighting

Cassidy would probably be more interesting, but he's got a massive glaring weakness that would 100% fuck him if not on the right terrain

and then the Saint of Killers is like 10/week

Young Joe is as seen in Looper, armed with his blunderbuss. Old Joe is also as seen in Looper, armed with his revolver and submachine gun. The two will act independently of each other, as normal teammates. However, any damage received by Young Joe will also be received by Old Joe as it would appear 30 years later (bullet wounds to Young Joe will appear as scars on Old Joe). If Young Joe dies, Old Joe dies as well.

Abilities

I Don't Want to Talk About Time Travel (Pre-Battle) - Once every 4 weeks, a preselected merc will experience some time travel yada yada yada. Let's skip the boring time travel talk and cut to the chase. The merc will have an identical clone come to battle with them with the same weapons, armor and abilities, but 20 years younger (bottoming at 5 years old if the original merc is younger than 25). Any damage received by the young clone will be dealt to the original merc as well, under the same rules as Young Joe/Old Joe.

Upgrades

Ability Upgrade:
If used on an enemy merc, the young clone will arrive to battle without any of the original merc's weapons or armor.

New Ability:
Rainmaker (Start of Battle) - Once every four weeks, if the battle is in high tier, Joe will be accompanied by Cid, the child that would eventually grow to become the dreaded Rainmaker, as a free assist. Cid is classified as a Neutral Male Superhuman.

Cid aka the Rainmaker is as he appears in Looper, unarmed but with all abilities he displays in the film.

Terrain

Sara's Cane Field - A massive field of cane on the edge of Sara's farm. The cane field is healthy but abandoned.
