Pretty sure that is democrats. They are the ones that think minorities need affirmative action because they can't get jobs in their own merit. Or that all minorities need welfare because they are all poor. Democrats talk down minorities just as much as racists.

You do know that is not what Affirmative Action does right, and even with Affirmative Action a black person with some college will have the same chance of getting job as white person who is HS drop out.

With that said, putting Tubman on the $20 was just an identity politics stunt anyway, so no loss seeing it fall through after the people being pandered to had record-poor turnout for the election.

Imagine acting like race plays no role in society

Imagine thinking a genocidal president is better for the 20 than a god damn american hero

Imagine thinking this has nothing to do with race

Imagine that time addy said he's okay with racial profiling

It is hardly a points scoring stunt. Literally you'd rather have a guy who purposely killed millions of native Americans over a person who stands for literal freedom. I can wager a guess as to why that is.

You can't change history just because it's ugly. You're judging people in the past by today's standards.

So what happens if we get rid of all the racist people from American history. We take them off our money, we remove them from our books, we destroy their statues etc. What ? Do we destroy Mt Rushmore next?

What's the end goal?

Of course we keep them in books, we need to learn who they were and why they are evil.

And yes, anyone who owned people should be removed from statues and the like. It goes very clearly against our nations claim of freedom.

Nobody besides a fringe minority of people look at their money or statues and think "wow I can really relate and respect him/her for all the horrible shit they've done".

They value the accomishmemts of those people that benefited society. You wouldn't be here today in America if it wasn't for those people.

MLK was a racist and a homophobic. Should we destroy anything that has his image? What about the Stalin statues?

Mt Rushmore would have to go too and I bet you would love that.

you're stupid unless you're speaking and working for their benefit. then it literally doesn't matter what comes out of your mouth, as long as your point matches the narrative.

you know what'll fix Republican problems? if minorities went back to roles of helpful servitude. where they didn't openly express feelings that made them uncomfortably self conscious about the way they effect others. where you can say, "we've got bigger problems than the ones most directly effecting your community, so keep waiting your turn in line and gimme your vote."

This was a political crock of shit from the beginning. Instead of pandering nonsense like putting a black person on money, how about using that time and money to do something that would actually help black people? You know, something more than just making the less intelligent among them feel better because they're "being represented".

Seriously, let's say this plan actually went through. What the hell have you actually accomplished? What good have you actually done for the black community by getting the government to waste all that time/money to change a dollar bill? How does this help in any way besides making a relatively small number of people feel slightly better for a little while?

Wow what a stupid post. You ever looked up the history of the two parties? Oh wait, you're probably gonna make an excuse like this imaginary switch of ideals, LOL. Lincoln was a Republican, BTW. MLK? Republican. Dems have nobody that was credible that fought against real racism.

If there wasn't an ideal switch , then why was the Reagan pushed into office by speaking about "State Rights"?

Hey, anybody notice that everyone on ce who criticizes antifa is only thinking of black bloc and not the actual political view

@gunplagirl

I bet you don't extend this same thought when it comes to the Alt-Right. You just think of the Nazis and confederate losers instead of regular people who are worried about the cultural future of their country.

I'm curious: what is the concern over the "cultural future" of their country?

Their cultural concern is keeping statues of literal traitors to the country in public places. Ones built during the Jim crowe era and civil rights movement in order to state the status quo. If their culture is one of subjugation and hate, and they have aligned themselves with a group where the most vocal members are literally waving Nazi flags, it means that nazism is not big enough a problem for them to reconsider their views.

White culture aka conquering brown people and having food without any flavor
