Bray Wyatt beat Finn Balor (and dumped a bucket of blood onto him), though they're advertising the summerslam match as DEMON Balor vs Bray Wyatt.

So, that justification for Demon Balor; what a disgustingly awful feud. Any random podcaster probably had ideas way better than WWE pulled off after 3-4 weeks. They've made me hate and dread anything Bray Wyatt says, does, or anyone he fights with. FUCK YOU WWE! You turned Bray into a Dolph Ziggler: an unwatchable, unmemorable mess of a character that means nothing. I knew it was coming eventually, but the reality of that is just disgusting. It's like all the bad Kane storylines and character destruction, without the realization that Kane was linked to the Undertaker, had a good 1-2 year run before it went to hell, and gets every free pass

I just had to remind myself Bray was WWE Champion this year. I could swear it never happened.

No but really Windham Rotunda is overrated other than his promos. At this point, his matches are boring and his character is, both at the fault of him and his booking, pretty bad and has been pretty bad for a while now.

The delivery of his promos are good.

The content is not. And I'm pretty sure I read once that he isn't scripted like most others.

All I know is that there's not a single feud anymore that I want Wyatt too be involved with. I always felt that the Wyatt Family could have been so much more, but they never actually actualized it. Bray could still be even more if anything he did made any kind of sense. Like red paint? Really? Creepy stuff he does has to have purpose and a proper atmosphere. Bray Wyatt tossing a can of what I guess was supposed to be blood onto Finn Balor and giggling while he flopped around in a fully lit wrestling ring doesn't work.

Delivery has good aspects to it, but isn't what I'd call good. He yells, laughs, etc etc, at seemingly random times. Laughing especially is way overused.

It's kinda like crummy guys in old school TNA where they'd yell a lot. But then you'd sit back and say "well why did they yell there" and it wasn't clear-- but in the heat of the promo it made it sound exciting.

Man that match is like, the poster child for how badly WWE Creative botches people nowadays.

Hardyz were one of the hottest acts in wrestling 5 months ago. Now they're just dudes.

Late last year Miz had great segments with Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler and actually made the IC Title relevant again-- now that's just his catchphrase.

Jordan wasn't anything huge with American Alpha, but they were an enjoyable tag team that the fans liked-- now he gets "die Rocky die" heat.

I guess Axel and Bo are shockingly not worse off than they were a few months ago, at least, but I can at least say the Miztourage is a hideous name.

I honestly wish Axel and Bo were like, unwanted lackeys, used as backup once when Miz was desperate and now trying to help Miz and screwing things up while Miz just wants them to go away. Mizfits would fit that.

It'd have more future I feel than what they're doing here.

God how I wish the WWE would make some sort of semi-official ruling on how its wrestlers are paid in kayfabe. Even if it's like the whole "tag teams can break up one pinfall without a DQ" limit that is followed religiously but never mentioned and it's only vaguely referenced, I would love to at least have some idea of whether heels are costing themselves money by running away or if ducking challenges until the PPV is financially advantageous to them.

Do you really believe that, though?

If you're creative there are ways to use the Hardyz while still keeping the broken flavor, or something that's at least vaguely compelling. Like you can't trademark mannerisms, etc. Just don't call them "Broken" let them continue to act nuts. To me this just seems like a convenient excuse to use them as another nostalgia act much like they did with the Dudleyz when they came back, because that's all they know how to do.

They do use vague references to the Broken gimmick.

But keep in mind the high point of the Hardy's broken run was literally a pre-recorded match at their house.

Did anyone really care about the Hardy's average TNA promo or appearance in the ring?

Yeah.

Very vague references thrown in with a nostalgia act.

Like you can't literally do the exact same things the Broken Hardyz did, but you're telling me there's no way to do anything with vaguely the same kinda feel? I mean hell that stupid House of Horrors thing didn't seem too far off from the general gist of the kinda things you'd need to give them to make them stand out. Or if you wanna keep it a lot more grounded just... let them do anything but fall into the tag title shuffle (it doesn't boost Sheamus & Cesaro up to be having a 50/50 feud with them it brings them down) and you've by default got something better.

They should have been closer to the world title scene than the tag title scene, frankly. Maybe have em win the tag titles to elevate those as tag feuds start mingling with world title feuds, but yeah. They're literally doing the exact same thing they did with the Dudleyz with them and blaming the legal issues really only goes so far.

This only works if you think Final Deletion was the Zenith.

And even if it was it was a STAPLE of that show to be checking in on the strange happenings in Cameron and it wasnt really bleeding momentum through the feud with Decay.
