Screw it, I spent everything. All of it, down the drain because I wanted to pull it all. All of it! All my lapis, all my tickets. Three 5k pulls, one 10+1 ticket, 35 regular tickets, and all I have left now is 1k in lapis to sustain me for dailies.

In total, my best pulls were

Two 9S, four Eves, my second Zidane, Beach Time Fina, a fourth Rikku, and some more TMR fodder.

Oh, and Orlandeau.

So yeah, that was fun! And now I have yet another option for a chainer once I get him raised up and ready to go. About the only problem is I'm not sure whether I should just stick with Tidus as my friend unit, or switch to Orlandeau and use Tidus as a finisher with Jecht shot. I've gotten to where I can pull of a full Quick Hit chain about 40% of the time, and it'll be a while before the old man is ready to go, but hey, still not going to complain! Tidus, Aileen, and Orlandeau all on one account? Oh the possibilities...

That's still a pretty good pull. Always a plus to have more options for chainers!

Believe me, I'm not complaining. Tons of people on my friend list run the old man, and considering I buffed up an Agrias I'll finally have a way to chain with my own characters if I so desire once her enhancements come out. I mean, I'll admit he wasn't a 5* I was going for, I'm not going to complain one bit. And I have tons of fodder units to raise up for TMRs now, either for duplicates or to make farming much faster.

I did it before I got my key party, it's not bad at all. Though it took multiple tries to get all requirements though. Marie or Minfilia will be the key to the fight.

First of all, only break Dark Ifrit's offensive stats and only break Dark Siren's defensive stats.

Second, keep Fire, Water, and Dark (especially Dark) resist up at all times. Dark because the duo opens up with a Dark debuff so you might want to Bushido Freedom yourself

BUT the two also buffs themselves, which of course you need to get rid of ASAP. May need AoE Dispel or Dualcast Dispel.

Also unless you can OHKO them, DO NOT trigger multiple of their threshold attacks at the same time.

Try not to attack with their weakness too much, they have a very nasty counter if you hit them while they're charging up twice with their elemental weakness.

honestly at this point i'm not sure Minfilia is necessary for it anymore, though she can likely easy mode it by giving your team 100% Dark Res with the right equips. the other elements now also can easily hit that threshold.

if you can get Rikku to two turns, HyperNull would do wonders. Zarga (if you've got him) can also be useful with his 40% elemental buff and that's on demand. also keep in mind, you can steal buffs with Xon. he's great for that trial. Dark Fina's worth mentioning because she has a natural 50% Dark Res.

I'm in the process of trying to get a solo unit for my wife for that, I just need a little more evade on Dark Veritas, since I can only hit 75% right now. I figure another 5 or 10% and he shouldn't get hit by Ifrit twice. Once Ifrit is dead Siren can't do anything.

Oh I also got a 21O and a 9S, are either of those good for anything I haven't been paying attention. I assume not for 21O since they are a 3*.

21O you get for the tank materia.(15% hp/spr) Each physical or magical attack equals a 30% shot at healing 800hp.

9S:

Bulky.

50% breaks for atk/def, mag/spr, thunder/fire/wind, ice/water/thunder to one enemy.

Can use 30%dmg general mitigation.

LB: Physical damage (8.65x) to one enemy
Decrease ATK/DEF/MAG/SPR (54%) for 3 turns to one enemy
Inflict disease (100%) to one enemy at lv 25.

BUT, most want the TMR.

A120: Repair. Heal (3000 HP, 9x) split over 3 turns to all allies

A060: P Shield. Physical damage mitigation (40%) for 2 turns to all allies. Stacks with your general 20-30% mitigation.

R020: Mirage. Physical damage (3x) to all enemies. Hits: 8. Two of these allows any units to chain together

Forgot to add the frame data for Mirage is the same as Fohlen/Reberta/Toxic Rain/Tidus' Energy Rain.

I'm exceedingly pleased. I got my Tidus over 800 ATK, which has substantially boosted my damage output. At this point I'm considering letting DKS just sit on the backburner rather than be my next Moogle dump, and start building up either Orlandeau, Aileen, or one of my magic users.

I am having a bit of trouble taking down the raid boss in a timely manner though. Even executing perfect Tidus chains one after another, it still usually takes me five or six turns to down the boss, which just feels sluggish compared to the people who can OTKO him. I realize that takes several heavily TMR'ed units, but it's still a bit frustrating. Still, at least it's somewhat interesting of a fight, unlike Mog King which bored me to tears since I couldn't OTKO him.

decided i should do some older trials too while i'm at it. did Echidna already, that's out.

Gilgamesh completed. just beat him down at every threshold level (80/50/30) basically. as long as you've got on demand damage mitigation and have on provoke duty for the KO, you should be able to come out ahead. came close in the end as i didn't quite do 30% damage but still had enough survive one turn to kill him. only thing i didn't get is the moogle but i can get that another time, with a 6 man party.

doing Aeons next.
6* WoL seems like a must to make this easier. he's got the perfect breaks for both, he 100% provokes, and his equipment's great for maxing resistances.

Tilith seems like an ideal second. AoE Dispel, healing, AoE buffs.

Rikku would complete that trinity, just gotta get through turn 1. or i can rely on Minfilia and rotate a bit. she does have the double Curaja chance too.

...4th seems kinda weird. cover tank really needed? as otherwise i'd probably just put Rem since she can double for Tilith or go DPS.

Has anyone here done the Bonds for Forever quest? It's one of the quests you need to do to unlock the black keys. Well I got the items the quest giver wanted, and the quest wants me to talk to her, but when I run up to her nothing happens.

I just did it today with no issues. Nabbed all three items and headed back (one more reason I dislike Gronoa, it's explorations are just bleah), got a cutscene, and was done. Don't remember having to do anything else.

supposedly there's a glitch going round where people where doing max damage with 2B.

I tried it out, all I get is a bunch of 1 HP damage.

I heard it was a 99% chance to do 1 damage, and a 1% chance to destroy everything. Nothing was said to back up that theory though, so I'm not taking it seriously at this point.

Only 1% of accounts can trigger the glitch, while the other 99% get 1 damage constantly.
