Overwatch is only $40

Up till this event I bought 0 boxes and got every skin I wanted. I actually play the game outside of events so I have plenty of extra coins

This event there's a lot more skins I want than usual and I was down to 3k coins so I bought 24 boxes and already got 4 legendary skins and an extra 2k coins, so if I don't get the rest of the skins from boxes I can just buy 2 with coins

Ask current SFV fans is they'd prefer a level up= loot box that may contain a character, rare skin or stage to the current system. I could play that game exclusively, every day for a year and there'd be no way I'd have enough zenny to have all the characters (you know, VITAL parts of the game). And on the off chance that I were able to do so, that's at the cost of buying literally anything else without using real money

There's a reason most people(myself included) end up just buying a character or stage or two. To compare the two games in terms of what real quality extra content can truly be reasonable unlocked for free is just dishonest

As someone who has played Street Fighter V since March of last year, I have not had to pay for any DLC character. It's really not that hard to get fight money since they started doing weekly challenges that give you around 5k a week. I've even gotten a handful of costumes through FM.

Because if you would have read the OP, that was the point of this thread. I listed games that get hate even though their dlc practices aren't nearly as scummy as Blizzard's.


And I still haven't got a direct answer from that after over 100 posts. Mostly deflections or people seemingly not caring even though some of the same people have problems with practices that aren't nearly as bad. The Blizzard bias I guess.

The paid cosmetic DLC exists to fund the actual meaningful DLC like the characters and stages. Everybody gets access to all of the meaningful content regardless of how much they paid. Nobody misses out on playing the new character. The community isn't fragmented between different base game and DLC levels.

The saddest part is all these people who don't seem to realize you can only use one skin at a time. Everyone bitched about not getting the Witch Mercy skin and then the next one came out and no one gives a shit about the witch skin anymore. I use the devil skin and I basically never see anyone using that or her other original ones. The amber one is better than some legendaries too
