About $100 on League of Legends. Less than $200 on all games combined though.

About seven dollars, I think. It was a free roguelike on PS Mobile that I really liked with some extra microtransactions.

I played League for a few years and put about $200-250 AU into that. My next biggest would be about $60ish for Runescape membership back in the day but that's about it.

There was a dark period of my life where I played Maple Story.

Like $30 on Let It Die, but that was because I liked the game and wanted to support it.

I've spent like $15 on a match 3 puzzle game I like to play every day on coins but then honestly I was like why am I doing this and I downloaded a modded app that gave me lots of coins for winning levels. Then when I amassed all the coins I'd ever need reinstalled the regular apk.

I believe the $20-25 I spent on Path of Exile to upgrade my stash. I was pushing 100+ hours by that point, so I figured GGG had earned my money. I've also spent like $10-12 on DotA 2, most of which was one of the battle passes. I think that's it.

Oh I also had kept my subscription to SWTOR after it went F2P, for like a year. So if that counts that was a bunch of money as well.

I have never paid for a free to play game and never will.

I think I spent $20 on Maple Story because I played the game so much and figured I should throw some money their way. I tend to hate spending money on temporary items though...

Probably $200 or so in Kingdom of Loathing. I was more willing to donate to them because it WAS a relatively small business that relied on donations to stay afloat (so consider it the early version of modern-day crowdfunding/Patreon/Twitch donation support), and because the game as a whole was pretty fun.

$10 a month (give or take) over a period of years eventually adds up.

A shame most of the stuff I bought with the in-game money I got from those donations is account-locked, though. I haven't played for years at this point, and I could dump a TON of extremely rare/expensive stuff on random players as a present if I wanted (which is basically the same thing I did the first time I quit the game for a while). But most of the really good stuff can't be traded.

I don't think I've even played a single free-to-play game at all. Unless Neopets counts? Could you pay for stuff in that? Granted, I haven't played it in like 20 years, so I don't think "free-to-play" was even a thing at the time.

Or what about Runescape? But that's just free with a subscription upgrade, so I think it only counts in the most literal interpretation of the phrase. My actual understanding of "free-to-play", however, is that it specifically involves microtransactions.

I suppose in any case the answer is still $0.

Depends how strictly you'd interpret F2P and time. LotRO is technically F2P now, but I bought a lifetime sub back when it launched.

Far as buying from a F2P game while the game actually is/was F2P, I spent like $30 on DBZ Dokkan Battle.

I don't regret it.I played the game for 2000 hours, and was one of the best PVM'ers being top 10 in several of the leaderboards.

I probably won't play it again

If it's an item that can absolutely only be obtained by buying it and is also only cosmetic... I'll just go without it and enjoy whatever's free. I couldn't wear it without thinking I've cheated the look of my character.

There are other kinds of items to be purchased, besides just cosmetics or anti-grinding. I've purchased a few useful items that otherwise aren't obtainable.

Mtgo I guess, but it's not really f2p since it's ten dollars to open an account.
