You COMPLETELY misremembered my ranting.

My entire problem with the whole thing from the beginning was that it was a worked shoot that tried to exist on a different plane of fake reality from the rest of the show.

My only problem with them cutting Joey Ryan was that it wasted our time and ended up amounting to absolutely nothing, which to be fair doesn't seem to be the case any more (it's obviously leading to SOMETHING).

Last night's Gut Check segment was fine. They never pretended to "shoot," or "break kayfabe." They kept it entirely within the realm of professional wrestling without getting meta. I still think it's a dumb concept but it didn't upset me or anything.

Also I think bringing in Jigsaw, Sabian, and Scorpio Sky for the X-Division tournament (plus whoever's on tap for next week!) kinda undercuts Gut Check. I realize the X-Division was on life support but still.

Yeeeeeah, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense they brought in those three and then make others go through that ridiculous gut check stuff. Like, why don't they have to go through that whole annoying process? Why did Joey Ryan have to?

Well yeah, Gut Check gives you a guaranteed contract, whereas they could cut Rubix or Mason Andrews right now since they didn't win, but still they're getting an opportunity to win a Championship! I'll take my chances with that over having to impress judges to get a contract.

Don't forget that the championship Rubix/Andrews are fighting for is worth a World Title shot if they were to win and then go undefeated for a year! Not even Crimson's undefeated streak led to World Title matches!

Yeah but then you have to win back your title. In theory if you had a draw in every title defense for a year you'd have yourself a World Title shot at Destination X! Obviously that'd never actually happen because nobody is that dumb, but still!

For the spreadsheet, I generally prefer only including the numbers for yourself (for example, in Daniels column, against anderson it will just say LOSE +0, which in Anderson's column it says +7) and then have everything in the column add up to a total on the bottom.
