Well exactly. As a starter, his middle form only lasts like 10-15 levels. The subsequent 50 have no mask.

Kane with the Iron Mask is an optional Stone evolution that arguably makes him worse.

Is Daniel Bryan on Raw or SmackDown? Is Kane on Raw or SmackDown? Is The Big Show on Raw or SmackDown? Is AJ on Raw or SmackDown?

I can't find any listing by brand on WWE.com anymore. I think the only reason that "people still have a home show" is because 6 months ago the Brand Split was a lot more firm and we still associate them with what show they were on at that point. They haven't fully cross-pollinated yet, but there seems to be absolutely nothing stopping them from doing so anymore.

DB and Kane appear on both, but lean RAW (because that's where Punk is and that's who they're feuding with).

Show leans RAW, because that's where Cena is.

AJ goes with DB and Kane.

In general, the WWE title is RAW, the WHC is Smackdown, US is RAW, IC is Smackdown, Cena is RAW, undercard divisions (tag team and divas) are Smackdown, etc.

Which is funny because when the brand split was more firm, Bryan was Smackdown, AJ was Smackdown, and Big Show was Smackdown too. Kane was...Kane, he was Smackdown, then he returned on Raw and has been on either/both a fair bit since. Kane being confusing? Never saw that coming.

Sure it works. They move shows when they switch titles.

It's not that different from before, just with more mobility (which means more options). This situation right now is basically exactly what I've been demanding for the last decade. That you can still have people on "home shows" but without arbitrary restrictions that eliminate necessary options.
