That there isn't a DC vs Marvel fighting game is a great mystery to me. You'd think that, even though the companies are rivals, they could set that aside for what would assuredly be a smash hit fighting game.

Fighting games don't even sell that much though. And the licensing is a flippin' nightmare. Trust me, the amount of red tape on something like this is colossal.

Sure, but the red-tape issues are still there. Getting all of the big heroes into place is a surprisingly large cluster****.

It was a terrible game, just, terrible. Gameplay wise. The other thing you mentioned is just extra points making it a negative 4.

Looks like this one is using the MK9 engine.

Also a lot of Marvel bigwigs are pretty vocally anti DC. Times have changed since Amalgam and JLA/Avengers.

I'm not sure if it's even the exact same studio that did MK vs DC.

But I think I'd give NetherRealm Studios are a fair shot at this after how amazing MK9 was.
Though maybe I'm just being biased because the studio is Chicago-based....

Fun fact, the company actually visited my college last year and hosted an MK9 tournament.

If anyone can make this game work, it'd be Netherrealm. I totally trust them after how amazing MK9 turned out to be.
Still waiting to see more before I get hyped, but this is definitely intriguing.
