Viridian Forest wasn't too bad first time around. I mean, I didn't dominate or anything (they did get away with 1 candy and got another one close to the exit - I blame Pikachus), but I did beat it first try, with Char and Pidgey tanking on one side and everyone else on the other.

Heading into Pewter Gym, I'm looking at a team of Butterfree, Beedrill, Rattata, and Pidgey each at Lvl. 11. Char is 12, and I have a secondary Rattata at a low level that sits up front and softens 'em up with Tail Whip. Am I ready to take the plunge?!? And either way, I am kinda disappointed that this will be the last level for now. I enjoyed this game.

Haha, that could've gone better. I lost all of the Pokeballs on the Beedrill/Pidgey side, not that that should be too surprising. The left side, however, dominated. The "boss" portion was harder than it should've been because it wouldn't stinkin let me recall Butterfree before the rock slide!

No matter what my Squirtle gets taken. I thought it was maybe because he was the highest level instead, but that didn't change it either when I had higher level Pokemon not getting taken over him

And yeah, both types of Nidoran were added

Played some yesterday. This game is pretty cool. Think I'm gonna wait for a few weeks to play more so a decent amount of levels are added. Only up to Pewter Gym (dunno why no one was complaining about this and they were about the forest-- this is the only one that gave me issue, had to grind to get Butterfree to beat it) was a shame.

Dr_Football's bracket was made with 23 flavors.

That was easily the best tower defense game I've ever played. I guess now I just have to wait until more levels are available.

Yeah one gender is rare per version. Blue = female, purple = male. You'll only get 1-2 per route 3 visit. Kinda like how only one of the pikachus in Viridian can be caught.

Also, Pewter was easy. Butterfree with confusion demolishes that gym.

Viridian is easy if you move your pokemon back and forth between waves and/or have Charmander as a starter, but it can be difficult if you're underleveled, just because of those damn pikachus.

In one of my runs through Viridian Forest, I saw two that could be caught. One appeared in the first wave and another one appeared around Wave 3 or 4.

Well when I hit Pewter Gym I only had a metapod-- my highest level Pokemon was only 9. Probably because I hadn't replayed any levels at that point.

It was pretty easy when I got a Butterfree though

Actually, it looks like it's your starter that's taken for Brock, UNLESS you evolved it, in which case it just takes the first one in your party.

And I would assume that stone-evolution Pokemon would level up as usual, since there are stones available (but I think only to those who donate at this point).

yeah the stones are in, you can actually get some now if you donate on the creator's website

you can also get shiny starters and shiny mew if you donate
